Stupid question of the day...then I'm done!

I do too on go. I didn't play WR much, but I liked running the go because I was fast. You look even faster if you catch someone off guard and blow by them. If you drop one though, man do you look stupid. Nothing better than being past the coverage.

I played corner *cough* hardest position on the field *cough*

I was just an average player on a pretty good football team in a small little town called South River - we are on the map for guys like Pearson and Theeezman though,

I understand or see the logic of why on the oline the center is the center, the guard is the guard, the recievers are the recievers and the tight end is the tight end, BUT why is the "tackle" named the tackle? I mean he don't tackle anyone?

Actually they used to be called Ends, because they were on the end of the line.

I think Tackle came from them being the outer limits of the "tackle box" similar to the pocket. Not sure on that though.
