I think Sturm brings up Dez in the Twitter thread.Have the Cowboys ever done this?
hes under contract and they dont get any relief until June 1st so they have all the time in the world.Have the Cowboys ever done this?
He speculates but indicates he is not sure. Mosher also indicates uncertainty. Let's see what google says.I think Sturm brings up Dez in the Twitter thread.
I am not saying they don't have motive. I am asking whether or not they have done this before.hes under contract and they dont get any relief until June 1st so they have all the time in the world.
Could say they did it with Dez.Have the Cowboys ever done this?
hes under contract and they dont get any relief until June 1st so they have all the time in the world.
On Friday, Bryant told NFL Network's Jane Slater that he would've taken a pay cut if the Cowboys had asked. The only problem? They never asked before they abruptly cut him on Friday.
"Yeah, if it was offered," Bryant said about taking a pay cut, per NFL.com.
I've heard a few people say this now, but the more I look into it I'm not sure it's true. All of Zekes guaranteed money has been paid. I think the $5M and $6M are strictly cap hits, not money Zeke would get paid out. I'm not sure Zeke has any leverage here, and the reason that he probably gets brought back at a much lower salary..yes that's a good strategy then threaten post June 1st cut meaning he will be way outside the FA period with little options left, BUT he will get 5mil this year and 6 next even if hes not playing, so he has some leverage, thats a nice vacation and severance package.LOL
They can get relief the moment they cut him if they make him a regular cut. They don't have to wait until June 1 unless they just want $10 million in cap savings versus $5 million.hes under contract and they dont get any relief until June 1st so they have all the time in the world.
THIS IS FALSE. You said this in another thread and it was pointed out to you that the Cowboys only owe him base salary now going forward and if they cut him in the next few weeks they owe him nothing.yes that's a good strategy then threaten post June 1st cut meaning he will be way outside the FA period with little options left, BUT he will get 5mil this year and 6 next even if hes not playing, so he has some leverage, thats a nice vacation and severance package.LOL
NO best thing is post June 1st cut for our cap..its about TEAM not feelings, he did hold out held Jerry hostage, they dont owe him sqaut,.its business they have to wait to cut him post June 1st..Best thing to do is let him go and find work elsewhere if needed.
"For the first time in his career, Elliott has no guaranteed money left on his deal, meaning the Cowboys can finally cut bait with the declining running back without absorbing an ungodly dead cap charge."THIS IS FALSE. You keep saying this over and over in other threads and it's not true.
I could see Balty, NE, Wash, or the Gents here.Best thing to do is let him go and find work elsewhere if needed.
