Romo will be competing for a starting job in Dallas in 2017.
No way, I love Romo and wish he was playing right now but that ship has sailed.
He will be starting for another contending team next year though.

I've got a feeling that the plan was open ended as far as how much Tony was gonna play. When he did all that in one drive I expect Garrett decided he had seen enough.....

I've been poo-pooing Romo's 1st throw all week as unnecessarily risky. Now that I've seen this view I can see he and the WR weren't in sync for the play.

It looked like Romo put the ball in an unnecessarily dangerous position initially, but now I can see he just didn't have the right vibe with the WR, and I put the screw up more on the WR in this case.

Yet if anything this speaks to the need of reps and interaction with teammates. If there was a mistake made by not bringing in Romo it was made 7 weeks ago. Bringing him in now nets us nothing.

Dak has been great, but he has never had that much command of the offense.

He will, eventually, but he's just not where Tony is between the shoulders. The way Tony played on just that one drive was masterful.

Definitely agree...that was a man in control of everything on the field.

I firmly believe Romo is the best QB on the team but this is Dak's team now. Romo is gone next year.

What is funny is I was listening to NY sports radio this evening and the announcer believes the Giants will beat the Packers and Romo will see action in the second half because Dak is going to struggle against their D. The playoffs will be interesting to say the least.

In a game where literally nothing else mattered, we thank the football gods for offering us one 6-play drive of Tony Romo to offer you this morning - because any and all other things in that game will be summarily dismissed.

The game happened. Stats were accumulated. In the words of Bob Knight, "Let's move on to something else, if in fact there is something else."

Well, there is coach.

Tony Romo played his first (sort of) meaningful football since Thanksgiving 2015. As I said yesterday, I don't really see the benefit of it all, beyond the idea of making everyone feel warm and fuzzy to see just six plays.

Zero plays would make sense if you felt like he was done here and you don't want to hurt value by playing him.

Twenty to thirty plays make sense if you wanted to sharpen him up against live-action (and potential contact) for either A) the possibility of playing in the post-season or B) enhancing his trade value by showing the league what he looks like.

But, six? That didn't make much sense.

I agree in that It would have been nice to see Romo for about 30 or more plays. With that much exposure, I would have been much more comfortable going into the postseason knowing his back could stand up to a hit if Dak were to go down and he was called upon. At this point, it remains a question. With a lame duck Sanchez as the only other option, I pray for 100 perfect health for Dak. I would be much more comfortable if I knew Romo took a hit, got up, rubbed some dirt on it, and kept firing away.

If that happens then I'd be all for it but I don't think it will, Garrett is all in on Dak, only an injury get's Romo in the game.
