Yes sir Mr. Strum. We witnessed a very un disciplined team last night. I can't even point to Weeden. He did what back ups do.

Yeah. I'm past the whole blaming Weeden thing at this point. He is what he is and did enough to at least give us the opportunity to win.

There is not a single team in the NFL, if their starting QB goes down, that doesn't say "We need to run the ball and play good defense" to cover for it. We can't do either. We literally can't do either. So, what else is there right now?

i cant blame weeden when his coaches dont give him the opportunity to succeed. i mean if it was him just fumbling, and throwing interceptions i might but man if hes told to dump everything hes doing what he is told to do.

I had not even considered that Gachkar should have stayed down after the injury. I did wonder why they didn't take a timeout.

Before the play, Wilson the rookie was telling Keith Smith where to line up. That's a bad sign.

That illegal pick play that injured Gachkar should have been called.

I said this in the game thread.

You could see it unfolding on TV. The TV flashed from a high view as Collinsworth was talking about the pick play and Gachkar was laying on the ground. Then they flashed to Brees, I believe, and then they flashed to a camera catching Gachkar trying to hobble off the field. You see someone quickly, frantically signal to another player to run in. Just as the player ran on, the TV went back to the Saints and they were already lined up and ready to snap the ball.

It happened in a matter of seconds but as I was watching it, it was in slow motion. You could just see the Cowboys were out of position.

Good point. It is just one example why I hate when the head coach is the offensive or defensive coordinator and has their head down on the play sheet. You can miss all the things happening on the field. Obviously Garrett hasn't been calling plays for a few years but it is just a general statement of coaches looking a play sheet all the time.

Fair or not, the 12 people on the field on the punt and the last play of the game is where a coach needs to take charge. On the twelve men on the field, the 12th man was running right to Garrett. you need to be a quick thinker in those situations. Again, it may not be completely fair but it seems like these mistakes or lack of action decisions pop up a couple of times a year with this coaching staff that really hurts us.

From the article:

For the 2nd week in a row, I will point out that the coaching staff with the better players is often the staff, which makes the better adjustments. The Cowboys, with their depleted roster are trying adjustments. They just don't have the weapons to make those decisions look like they are causing the opponents much distress.

Everyone wants answers.

There aren't many right now. You simply keep bailing the water out of the boat as fast as you can. You are trying to survive until the rescuers can arrive. Those guys wear #9 and #88, if you are unclear.

I couldn't agree more, Mr. Sturm!

this pretty much sums it up. I mean if you are injured, fall down so the officials have to call a time out. Yo u don't want to inure yourself any further by limping off the field. Overall, the Cowboys did not play a smart football game and it cost them the game but hopefully not the season.
