Such a disapointing loss

I am 47 years old and I really am beginning to think that my 2 year old son might have to tell me all about that one special year (2078) the Cowboys made a Super Bowl run that earned them their 6th Lombardi trophy, when he joins me in heaven. This team is very, VERY far away...and it's depressing.

I watched back to back plays where their tackles head locked our guys, and I knew then we had no shot in the third quarter of holding the lead.

then when I watched the holding calls all of a sudden return to be called, but against us, I knew no come back would be coming.

next week will be brutal as well.

Exactly, I thought the same. It appears the interference no calls were obvious. However, the interference on Scandrick was horrible. Still should have beaten the Chargers, though

I guess no one is talking Super Bowl or how proud they are of this team? Never get too high on a team with a history of choking and being mediocre.

i dont disagree with this, but I think its time for Garrett to look within. Like i have been saying, it wouldnt be wrong for him to shake Jerrys hand and do the right thing, he can still walk, he has no credibility left in the league so hes not hurting anyone, but to continue will only hurt the team and theres no excuses left.

New NFL season, same mediocrity as the past years. Until Jerruh croaks you can count on this being the standard line.

This was a disgrace. It wasn't just disappointing. It was down right disgraceful.

The Chargers came in with a back up Offensive line and the 32nd ranked secondary in the NFL.

We never challenged them deep and our rush couldn't get pressure against backups. It was a pathetic showing. The defense simply shut down and quit after the Lee Pick. It's like they thought the Chargers would just roll over and let us win from that point.

Manning is going to get 500+ and 5 TDs on this defense next week.

I'm plenty proud of the team, and, while I was never talking Superbowl to begin with, this loss isn't particularly damning to our playoff hopes. It's ok to just be disappointed in a performance without quitting on everything, Clove.

Just for clarification. Are you saying you are proud of the team, regarding this game?

The NFC East should be over.

Instead we'll likely be tied for first at the end of next week.

Like I said before the season.. If Garrett and Romo can't get it done this year then, together, they will most likely never get the job done.

I'm not putting this loss on either one of them but this 8-8 Teeter Totter team has gotten extremely old and stale.

afraid so, barring some miracle, they wont sniff a Super Bowl til 2019

I'm proud of the Cowboys to the extent they at least kept trying. See the New York Giants. At least Dallas showed up to play.

Romo? What? He had three drops on third down. Meanwhile rivers had guys toe tapping and running wide open for 20 yard plays.

This one was clearly n the horrible defense, poor special teams and poor coaching.

It's the Seattle game all over.

Garrett can't throw romo under the bus today like he did in kc.

Really not understanding how any of you are surprised. If you thought this was anything other than the same old Cowboys, I can't figure out how you had the wherewithal to get your computer booted up and logged onto the internet.

I'm 4-0 on my Cowboys picks this year.

You can't consider me sucked.

As yourself who has this team beat this year? An awful Giants team that racked up 31 points and 500 yards, and equally bad Rams team that didnt show a pulse on Thursday all at home. That set up alot of high expectations and false hope IMO.

The hold on Leary early in the 4th really hurt. Beasley gets a 1st down at the Chargers 34 and that hold made it 2nd and 14 at the 50. The Chargers get the ball back and score a TD to go up 9. Ballgame.Just too much to overcome.

Which begs the question with Parnell at smith and on 2nd and four why not run again? Murray was excellent today.

Nope they had to throw and then the flag came out and this team continues to do what it does.

We should have kept Rob Ryan. It all starts at the top. Jerry Jones is a moron and fired the wrong coach.

Seeking your opinion, Theebs.

Did you notice the Cowboys receivers having to jump and layout more to catch Romo's passes? It seems like the Cowboys offense can never hit a guy running in stride.

To be honest I think we will play much better next week. That is how this team is - up and down. You are never as good as you think you are and you are never as bad as you think you are. This team has some talent and it is going to take some more time to get things ironed out. We missed several opportunities - drops, a critical fumble, missed FG (very long though) etc.... Things will be looked at and the coaches will adjust accordingly. Even with as many mistakes as this team made we were down by nine and had a chance for a touchdown inside the 10.

Let's not start jumping off bridges just yet. I know everyone is very disappointed but I for one think that this team is different and will bounce back and play much better from here on out.

The D is getting a lot of the press because they were picked apart in the passing game but it is a new scheme with new coaches and things will get worked out. Today we had some growing pains that will go away with more time.

The O really did not play as bad as it looks to be honest - a few drops turned into catches and this is a different outcome. We ran the ball pretty well today - Murray averaged 5 ypc. We need to be able to implement the no-huddle into our scheme to keep Defenses off balance. I think we should have ran Murray even more considering the trouble we were having stopping the Bolts passing game to give our D some rest and give the coaches a chance to get some issues worked out.

One question - I thought the CB's were supposed to play up on the WR's in the Tampa 2? Why are the corners playing so far off the ball? I don't get it.

I hate to say this but Mo is just not physical enough to be effective in this scheme. I also think he is hurting a bunch and that is impacting his performance. Also, you will not see Carter play this bad again this year - no chance.

We need to get Ware healthy - when Selvie is your best pass rusher there is a problem. Ware seams to disappear for long stretches at a time. We need to move these guys around and look for mismatches. I don't see this happening as much as I would like.

I am bummed but staying positive!

Next week - Cowboys 31 Broncos 27 The D comes out next week and makes a statement - gets two picks off Manning

This team is a choke artist. The only consolation is both losses are against AFC teams.

seems like there's rarely any YAC either

I see the expectations along with the moral if this fan base get lower each year. It's like a bad marriage; at what point will the divorce papers be filed? Probably never because that man could sell salt to a slug, and guess who is the slug. Me and you!!!
