Such a disapointing loss

Just for clarification. Are you saying you are proud of the team, regarding this game?

Not particularly proud of the way the team played today, obviously. But, in general, sure. I really like this team, the current players, and the current coaches. I think it's a class organization, and I can get past the losses and bear in mind that it's a parity-driven league where championships are usually determined by the team that's playing the best football in December and January and not necessarily the team with the best record.

I'm not saying that's likely to be us, either. I don't know who it's going to be, but in a league filled with close games, you better get used to up-and-down football, because you're most likely going to see a lot of it.

Seeking your opinion, Theebs.

Did you notice the Cowboys receivers having to jump and layout more to catch Romo's passes? It seems like the Cowboys offense can never hit a guy running in stride.

Didn't seem like it. Harris dropped it right in his hands as did Williams and Bryant.

It is clear though Callahan has no interest in pressuring a defense with vertical plays. Romo used to be an uptempo aggressive qb, now he is apparently being instructed to play like rich Gannon.

Romo? What? He had three drops on third down. Meanwhile rivers had guys toe tapping and running wide open for 20 yard plays.

This one was clearly n the horrible defense, poor special teams and poor coaching.

It's the Seattle game all over.

Garrett can't throw romo under the bus today like he did in kc.

I said I wasn't putting the loss on him.

Btw I think our WR coach has done a terrible job.

Even with the horrible defense, this game was very winnable. We lost because of what seemed like an endless stream of stupid mistakes.

I see the expectations along with the moral if this fan base get lower each year. It's like a bad marriage; at what point will the divorce papers be filed? Probably never because that man could sell salt to a slug, and guess who is the slug. Me and you!!!

That ****** has never had a thing to do with why I'm a Cowboy fan and never will. I cant fathom why anyone would be drawn to be a fan of the Cowboys because of his sorry ***. He was smart enough to buy an outstanding brand and milk it for all the $$ he can but that's it as far as I'm concerned

But not unexpected.

Just not a smart team. The Cowboys have faced 2 premium qbs and been torched by both. Turnovers are great, but you have to at least slow an offense down.

Terrance Williams stretching the ball out from about the 2.5 yard line.

The dumb head coach trying a 56 yard field goal. Hello, field position?

How many times were they going to isolate Woodhead on the overrated Bruce Carter?

I just think we got schooled by Rivers.

That first TD pass was a thing of beauty.

I'm plenty proud of the team, and, while I was never talking Superbowl to begin with, this loss isn't particularly damning to our playoff hopes. It's ok to just be disappointed in a performance without quitting on everything, Clove.

You have low standards. With all due respect and stuff.

I understand what you're saying - Rivers was great, but if Williams doesn't try to stick the ball out and lose it at the goal line, it's probably a two point game. Then we just add up all of the penalties, drops, etc. and see if there was 2 points in there somewhere.

That's easy.

The moronic brain dead idea of that 56 yard field goal resulted in that three.

Maybe we score twice but either way I'll just say we got straight up outplayed today.

I didn't see a ton of mistakes. Rivers just made plays and the Cowboys offense didn't make enough.

No offense taken. I do try to keep everything in perspective.

It's not my standards that aren't high, though, it's my expectations. People around here would do well to keep those two ideas a bit separate in their heads, generally. With all due respect, of course.

At least I won't have to read about our salty defense this week.
And you are happy you don't have to read about the defense playing well and are relieved they played bad.

You might be as goofy as they come.
