At home against the Eagles.
Murray seems on a roll. Romo is thowing (mostly) into safe situations. The defense is showing signs of life.
T. Williams is back and wants to contribute.

Don't you think Jason/Cally half a game plan for the ages?
And if there is a heafan this is how the game plan will unfold.

Murray will bludgeon the Eagles line.
When romo passes, they will be downfield to Dez and Witten.

Simple.

COWBOYS 27 EAGLES 17

I am so excited I can eat 3 steaks!

They will need to really utilize Murray and the run game. Keep the ball away from Eagles Offense. Control the game clock and game itself.
This could prove to be challenge to the coaching staff and play calling, being patient, stick to the running game.

This is Garrett's biggest challenge as well as biggest game ever. As there is more on the line for this game other than winning the division and making the playoffs. Coaches, players jobs could be on the line for this one.

Time to man up, give it up for the team, no matter what.

being patient, stick to the running game.

If we can do that, be patient with the running game, things will work out for us.
Why?
Long drives to keep the BALL AWAY FOR FOLES
LACTATE THE CLOCK -- we half gotten away from this when we need it.
Good things do come from a running game.
And just to keep them unbalanced, the long ball to Dez and Witten. None of this 5-yard passes no more.

Hurry up game!

I thought you were being sarcastic when you said that Jason/Cally would have a game plan for the ages and that the defense is showing signs of life.

No way. You can bet that Jason and Cally will walk the midnight soil as to what works and what does not.
Cally has learned his lesson. Garrett is focused now on this ONE game.

And the defense showing "signs of life" is not an endorsement. Just that they might be able to hold down the scoring.

This, gentleman, will be a game plan to scrutizine.I look for good things. A perfect balanced game with Dez and Witten keeping the defense honest.

So, in turn, this is the biggest challenge our O line will face.
Damn, hurry up game!

You certainly have more faith than I do at this point in time my friend, hope you're right.

One more thing that gives me hope -- Jason will be playing for his coaching career in Dallas. He will manage Callahan and keep a balanced attack on the field. If we resort to Romo passing every other down, . . . well, i dont want to think abuot that.

BALANCE

BALANCE

I agree, there has to be balance, I don't think the Cowboys can win if Romo has to throw 40+ passes. Even if DeMarco is struggling early, they can't get suckered into abandoning the run.

Nothing screams optimism like barely squeaking out a win against a 3-11 team....

I noticed last night how McCoy holds the ball so dangerously. He's a fumble waiting to happen, if we can catch him. I suspect the Eagles will put DeSean Jackson in motion a lot, but he can be manhandled on the line of scrimmage. That's how teams contain him in the playoffs. DJ and Shady are the two who can kill you. You'll have to focus on those two and hope Celek and the RACIST, er, Cooper can't beat you.

It's the last game of the year and we're hoping for a lot of 'firsts' out of this team,,, it's a very tall order.
Still, it's a division game and Kiffin seemed to have Kelly's number last time,,, or maybe it was the wind.

Cooper is more of a threat than Jackson is right now, D. Jack is a deep threat but Cooper makes the tough catches and is a big target in the red zone.

So you would focus a defensive game plan against Cooper and not Jackson?

That only works if we score. Kelly does not give one rip about TOP

BALANCE
I don't mean to grind your gears but, if Romo throws every other down, isn't that the very definition of a balanced offense? :)

It doesn't matter what Kelly thinks on TOP.
Keep the ball, grind it out. Cowboys one of the best scoring in the redzone.
So Kelly thinks he can score at will, whenever he wants. Let him be over confident on this. TOP, less opportunities for him. Key is to have long drives, get TD's instead of FG's. That TOP by 4th quarter, will wear down their defense. Get a lead and keep it. Eagles defense can be stopped.
