You are correct.Sometime, during the preseason, one or more teams are gonna lose their #1 or #2 WR to injuries. At which point, Dez is gonna start looking good as a quick-fix.
You are correct.
But the only thing is, can you imagine the learning-dysfunctional Dez being rushed into learning a playbook, a new scheme and a new team's approach? Can you imagine Dez going from unemployed to coaches screaming in his ear? A place he is not allowed to be a diva?
Not a pretty picture.
I disagree. If you do your own thing and can't run routes effectively, your learning curve is surprisingly short.
Dez is great to have if your team is suited to his abilities. Dallas is no longer suited to his abilities. Dak can not put the ball in the exact spots he needs it, and Dez can't change Dez to play different. That is really all that there is to it. Dez is a hi-point 50/50 ball catcher... that is what he is. If you can't utilize him, then he needed to go. I have no problem with them letting him go. If you have a Rodgers, Brady, Brees, Garappolo type QB... you can use him. If you don't... you can't. That is really all it boils down to.
I think anyone who has watched the games, knows that Romo made Dez what he was. Because Romo was well versed in the the abilities, and lack of abilities Dez possessed. He was able to capitalize on the positives of Dez... other QBs weren't able to do that.
It takes a highly skilled veteran QB ,and a scheme that fits, to utilize Dez. The payoff, is great if you have that. If you don't... then you get what you get. Dez is a risk/reward type receiver.
I personally don't think any of them are worth 14mil a year lol.I mostly agree with this. A receiver with those limitations also isn’t worth 14 mil a year.
I like Dez. But I don't care about how he does on another team. It's Cowboys or no oneYeah, what he said, Catch. You like Dez?
I personally don't think any of them are worth 14mil a year lol.
Because I still cheer for Dez Bryant and all that he did for this franchise.
I can't imagine what he would've done with proper scheming and a WR coach that, you know, actually worked on route running.
