Linehan calls the plays that come from Garrett. This is his offensive system. So what is he going to talk to him about? Calling plays better? Executing his playcalling the right way, like he preaches to the players?
And even if that were not true, it would make little difference since both he and Linehan believe in the exact same offensive concepts. The problem is not throwing down the field more. It is more about creating an offensive gameplan that takes advantage of the opposition better and relies less on simply winning the individual matchups.
This is true, never thought of it that way. This is the type of stuff they need to talk about.
But I get your point, with their philosophies, would they actually see that that is a real problem.
.
Would they actually change. Garrett changed by the Callahan experiment [a wasted year on that], then he changed by bringing in Linehan, and everyone thought pass happy, but he actually ran the ball, but too many first down runs still. But it was a change and worked for last year
Then the same old thing this year, but with injuries, and failed RB experiment, it failed. So next year, will they make another adjustment. Nothing shows us that they willing to make those adjustments at this time.
