As I said on #GameDayMorning: #Cowboys DE Jason Hatcher got after Tony Romo in practice after an audible away from a run turned into pick-6

‏@RapSheet 37m
Hatcher and others have been frustrated with Romo audibling away from runs. In team meeting, Hatcher called out everyone -- including his QB

@RapSheet 36m
When @MikeSilver talked to Jason Garrett today, the response was: This is positive. Garrett liked the intensity, holding accountable

Winning cures all ills...

I love Hatch stepping up and taking leadership. We need a Ray Lewis type (without the stabbings lol).

That said we need to run WELL not just more - easier said than done. I think we will see a fired up Oline and Murray today.

Hahahaha post of the day!

Exactly. I like what Hatcher is saying, but there is also a rational versus emotional side of this argument. Running the ball effectively is meaningful, running it just to run it is not. This team is 27th in attempts and is 24th in yards per attempt. It's not like they have been leaving a lot of run game production on the table.

Hatcher needs to know that Romo - just like any QB - has a good seat to watch these running plays develop and see how the blockers are blocking and the runners are running.

True. My only concern is telling the world that we are not going to audible out of runs ever. That isn't Hatch's fault but the media for reporting it. You can't freak out every time an audible fails and then be happy when they work because they often do.

I'm hoping a nice balanced win smooths this all out today but right now we have a OC and HC not on the same page, a QB who was given more control being told by everyone not to audible - after one loss. We lose today with a bad offensive showing and it could be meltdown time.

That said i think we win today with some real balance. I applaud Hatch for getting mad rather than just shrugging his shoulders.

I really like this Hatcher fella. It really says something that on a defense with Ware and Lee, that he's the one to call out Romo

Ahhh thats just cause Hatch has the biggest mouth....Ware and Lee are just too nice.

As much as Jerry likes to talk about Peyton, we do have to see that usually Peyton audibles into running plays especially near the goaline while Romo continues to always audible into pass plays.

Romo's my boy, but it has to change.

Good for Hatch. I like his fire. He has leadership qualities and this team needs that (among other things).

it's easier to be quiet and just go with the flow. you open yourself up to criticism when you speak up. i commend him for having the balls to do it. i'm sure some in the country club will not approve.

Well we ran on first and goal at the 1 last week and lost a yard. Then we threw to Dez for a TD. So it's not just on Romo, the oline and Murray have to show they can get it done. I think they will today.

And so does Hatcher hes lined up against them all week long and probably has a good view from the sidelines on game day. Its all on ROMO i think this is great he was called out time to earn your 100 mil now Tony

While we want leadership on this team, calling out your QB is never the right thing

Calling out a team mate in private when needed it a good thing.

However, calling out a team mate in public and gets publicized is not a good thing.

why should he be untouchable? believe me, just b/c hatcher said it doesn't mean he's the only one thinking it in the locker room. he's the only one who had the balls to say something. the audibles have gotten out of control, going back to last year.

I love it when a "Pro Bowl" DT calls out the QB. Hatcher should worry about his own play. He is an average DT who should play hard and keep his "big trap" shut.

Garrett really has control of this Team.

If Romo takes it the right way and realizes Hatcher is actually right, this could definitely be a good thing.
