One of the most common complaints seen on this forum is “the Cowboys are not getting enough respect”.
Most of us grew up hearing the old saying that “respect is earned.” Well Sunday night, the Cowboys have a chance to earn a little respect.

The “A’ints” are 8-0 on Sunday Night Football when they play at home. Even without Drew Brees, they are a tough opponent, especially at the Dome. A win Sunday night is an opportunity for the Cowboys to showcase their worth as a contender in front of a national TV audience. Hopefully result in winning the NFC East and gaining the #1 seed for the playoffs. This Sunday night is a chance to prove they for real. And not against the midgets, skins of fins, but a really good team at home.

Ultimately, “respect” will be earned in the playoffs. Regular season games are obviously important, but they are because they serve as a way to tee up the ball hopefully for a successful playoff drive. Playoff wins= respect.

Sure would be great to see a dominant Cowboys team make a statement! Step one toward that respect is Sunday night. Let’s Go Cowboys!

Good stuff there, Bullet Bobhaze . . . seems to me like if we could beat 'em last year with Drew Brees, there's no reason why we can't beat 'em in 2019 without him. Of course, part of that courage also fittingly comes by way of knowing how much we've improved this year as opposed to back then. They're obviously still a dangerous bunch, though, since they whipped the Seahawks at their place last week, albeit, by a very close score. Keeping Kamara under control will undoubtedly be a key to that undertaking. Here's hoping we can (again.) :D

Doesn’t matter if the boys win, the excuse will be because Bree’s wasn’t there, and they’ll go onto say they still haven’t played anyone. If they lose, they’ll say we finally played a real contender and couldn’t deliver.

There’s seriously no winning.

we beat steelers on road in a shootout a couple years ago..... didnt get any additional respect.
Beat Saints last year, didnt get any additonal respect.
Kicked packs arse at Lambeau.... didnt mean anything.
It doesnt matter. Just win.

Again...the only real respect a team deserves is to win in the playoffs! That’s it.

We need to beat them like last year on there turf. But it still won’t be enough because brees isn’t playing.

Respect yourselves enough to apply due diligence in preparation and sufficient energy in application. From staff to players put your very best foot forward so that you can respect the effort that you gave.

Let's Go Cowboys:flagwave:

If we don't beat them by 50 points then they're not gonna respect us anyway. This is a no win situation for us.

I disagree. The win situation for us would be to win the game. That would be a win in every sense of the word. The part about respect? Counts the same as "Power Polls".
