not to jump the gun or anything but if Dallas played that game with those refs there is no way in Hell Dallas gets away with any little tiny thing.

You guys watch the Cowboys enough to know that Black guy referee has somthing against the Boys...I've never seen a game that He refs a Cowboys game that I'm not about to break my T.V because his idiotic Biased calls.

The refs are slanted...Tha's human Nature..Everybody should know this, Unless they are robots...

Once again. Poetic justice. I can name at least six different times this season where Moss blatantly pushed off for a TD grab.

Well Moss also got called for 4 or 5 of them...Including one against us if I'm not mistaken.

But when he pushes off they are a lot more subtle and they are on the body of the defender. You could have called hands to the face and offensive PI on Toomer's play which is why I was so surprised it wasn't called and nobody has said much about it.

Overall I thought that the refs did a pretty good job, missed a couple calls but nothing major. However, that play sorta set the tone for the game, they don't get that, then they don't score...etc

Refs are human. They make mistakes and make bad calls sometimes. It happens. But this notion that the NFL actually sets out to fix games by sending in certain teams to actually force one team to lose to another is beyond silly and quite frankly just plain stupid.
I'm not on the fixing games level, but I definitely think Goodell told the refs to keep it in their pants... the flag that is.

After the Seattle/Pittsburgh SB, I think in the Super Bowl, the refs are erring on the side of not calling it if it's questionable. But things are different during the regular season.

That's my biggest gripe with refs in the NFL and NBA, they seem to change the way they call games from the regular season to the playoffs.

In the endzone? I remember saying that too...I thought it was inevitable that they were gonna call one but they never did. Giants never really hit him late though..

Yeah but with the ref's being soooooo touchy about the QB and his head the last couple of years... it should have been called.

I said it before: The Seattle/Pgh superbowl was an outright theft. The fix was in. Pgh and Bettis in particular were going to get the ring no matter what. It was so blatant the cheating. Holmgren complained after the game and the NFL gestapo stepped in and quieted everything.

Either the referees acting on their own or acting on the behalf of the nfl fixed the Pgh superbowl vs Seattle. Without a doubt!!!

As a ref, it is easy to fix a game. One little holding call at an opportune time is all it takes.

Its funny.... when that happened and there was no flag.... I saw this scene play out in my head....

Before the game - Goodell pep talks the Refs

Goodell: Ok, looks like we gotta let this undefeated thing go... pressure is on an I dont know how many more people are gonna come out and claim to have something on NE's past SB victories regarding SpyGate.... so here is what we are gonna do. I aint going down with that ship.

Ref's huddled together: Ok, Boss... whats the plan?

Goodell: Questionable calls.... no longer going the Pats way, got it?

Ref's: Yes.

Goodell: If the Giants have the lead and NE has the ball with time running out... DONT CALL any offsides by the Giants. Got it!

Ref's: Yes sir

Well its more elaborate... but you get the point early on into the script LOL

Now I'm more inclined to believe that he might say something about trying not to be so flag happy, or let them play more, but I am not going to ever buy into the idea that he has some sort of money riding on who wins and who doesnt.

I don't believe in fixed games, but I do believe that NFL refs over the past few years are gravitating towards the area NBA refs now inhabit. Superstars and the best teams get the breaks and the benefit of the doubt...

Your logic has a flaw. If the game is to be fixed then WHY would the Patriots have to cheat. Either they cheated to get an advantage or the league has a script but you can't have both.

IMO Brady and Little Bill could have known all the defensive calls in SB XLII; but those offensive lineman could not block the Gmen front 4.

Lololol!

I'm glad the refs let them play the game though... but to be honest, this game could've easily been a blowout. I saw plenty of times when Brady got blown up it was an obvious roughing the passer/late hit. And when Jay Alford destroyed Brady on that sack up the middle in the fourth quarter, that had a 15 yard penalty written all over it. I don't think those kind of plays should be called... but Brady has been gettin' them all year. Same thing can be said for the last two hail marys of the game. It was pretty obvious Brady was forcing the ball deep to Moss and praying for a pass interference call.
