I have watched it tonite and it is very painful. Thank you Jackie Smith and ref's - sorry you had a bad game. I can't believe we didn't win. My father always blamed the mafia but who am I to question (he always was very pessimisstic). He has been into conspiracy theories - no penalties for PB in SB X. He is 80 now and still going strong. I owe him my love of the Cowboys. We used to listen to preseason games on the radio sitting out in the driveway in the car (very much static) back when the games were not broadcast on TV. It was so hot but those were the best of times with the car windows rolled down and the locusts (not grasshoppers) singing. Frank Glieber calling the play by play, it was great!

Okay, that is not my point here. By the way, did I mention we only had 3 TV channels and they were all in BLACK AND WHITE! My point here is that I hate the early 60's throwbacks. They reflected back to a time when we were embarrassing. People made fun of them as some kind of cheap high school or college all star uniform.

REALLY, the uniforms in SB XIII are THE DALLAS COWBOYS. The size and structure of the numbers, the color of the pants, the stripes on the socks, and Roger Staubach being Roger Staubach.

Why can't those be our throwbacks or our regular uni's? It's good enough for the Yankee's, why not us?

I'm old school, but really, who is with me?

(Ok, Roger would only be the in the top ten QB's today - even at his age.)

Couldn't agree more. Forgive my crude mspaint hatchet job.

I'm not typically an "old school" guy. I actually love those 1994 uniforms, and even liked the later adaptations made to create the current blue uniforms.

But I absolutely, 100 percent agree on those old white uniforms. Whether or not they should remain our current full-time uniforms is debatable, but I simply do not understand why we don't bust those out at least occasionally as our throwbacks on Thanksgiving.

You can do better than that but I agree I love the old school unis better. Every team that has switched recently should go back to the classic unis except maybe Tampa.

Yeah, but they are "edgy" and "extreme" and have "street cred".

I hate 90% of the changes made to uniforms over the past 20 years.

The Cowboys '70s uniforms were the best ever. :starspin

Love the top ones

HATE the double star ones. :puke:
The STAR belongs only on the helmet in my opinion. It emphasizes the Lone Star State feel. More stars give the overall uniform an impression of being a flag. I guess there's nothing wrong with looking like a flag, but the Cowboys are Texas's team (although I'm sure that the Texans would disagree. ) and too many stars really clashes with the state flag. :)

The perfect uniform: (And, anyone notice how the blue numbers actually match the blue star on the helmet? Interesting concept.)

I have to agree on the old silver pants being so much nicer than the silver green ones. I liked that the old uniforms the blue actually matched. It bothers me that the numbers are a different color blue than the stripes and star on the helmet. I think the white and blue jerseys ought to mirror each other as well and they don't.

I like the throwbacks and the double stars, but I think the 1970's uniforms would be the best throwback ever. In fact I'd prefer to bring them back permanently. Those blues were absolutely the best.

A lot of people don't like the "double-star" unis but those were the ones they wore when I first fell in love with the Cowboys in the early 60s so they hold a very special place for me.

Still like the 70s unis the best though.

The double star ones from the picture above are nothing like the old 60's version. Our current throwbacks are close than those.

Hey we all talk about this superbowl in reference to Jackie Smith and Benny Barnes interference but what about that BONE HEADED fumble by Randy White..He looked like he was trying to pitch the ball back to a teammate. That got Pitt the 35-17 lead..

Well, the cast on his hand didn't help matters much. Also, the Pitt kicker slipped, which means Randy wasn't expecting the ball at all. Just a freak play that killed us.

yes love the 70's uniforms. About the game, alot of people seem to be over looking Dallas CB's were below average Barnes and Aaron Kyle? Got abused all game long. Even if Jackie Smith catches that ball, I still think Pittsburgh wins that game. The boys were lucky to get the onside kick to make it close.
