If they win this year, they would be the greatest NFL dynasty in history.
Asterix by the competition however. They would prove themselves but i'm not prepared to grant them that much, the media will likely.

The Philadelphia Eagles have won 3 NFL Championships! But many fan (everywhere) will say ...

- Championships back then were not as important as the Supebowl
Championships of today.

- They'll tell you that football players back then weren't as talented, not
as tough and not as big as they are now. In a nutshell they minimize
those accomplishments of the past.

- Technology has allowed players to maximize their strengths and skills on
the playing field

- Championship games back then don't count anymore because too
much time has lapsed.

Yet ...Superbowl dynasties seem to hold more esteem than Championships of those NFL pioneers. But couldn't the same argument be used for Lombardi recipients of the 80s and 90s.

What happened to football dynasties? Are players so evenly distributed throughout the NFL that competition, and match-ups are factors in having one team dominate. Was it easier to obtain Superbowl championships when a team is loaded up with playmakers, and giants of the past.

The Dolphins went undefeated, the Cowboys, Patriots, and Steelers are teams that hold the prestigious right to be call "Dynasties." Will the NFL ever see another dynasty? Or will an NFL dynasty become a thing of the past?

What team will rise up as NFL Dynasty in 2006 ...and Beyond. Could It be a foreign team like England, Canada, Mexico, ? Or will those team's of "old" step back up and claim their rightful place as a dynasty.

Canada?
Mexico?
Are you kidding???

Everybody knows it's Australia.
Oh,and Malawi got a kick *** OC,so they should contend.

Yeah, and Major League Baseball used to consist of the National League back before the flood.................Noah's flood. The "junior circuit", the American League has been around since about electricity and running water.
Lets bring up how great the 1897 Beige Sox were while discussing MLB Titles too.
Fact is, the Eagles won their paltry 3 trophys over 60 years in a league that's as different as the NACC Rugby league is to the modern NFL. This current brand and breed of NFL Football began with the merger of the NFL and AFL around 1970. The last team of the "Tin Lizzy" NFL to make it's mark were those 60's Packer teams. Even then, they were barely beyond leather helmets and no facemasks.
Rules of thumb when comparing the 1960 Eagles to the 1995 Cowboys:
If players were regularly still playing both ways, it don't count.
If the goal-post's were still on the goal line, it don't count.
If the uniforms fit like pajama's, it don't count.
If players didn't make enough money to fix their teeth, it don't count.
If you could play in a SB and star in it with a hangover, it don't count.
If the endzone had no logo's, only slanted lines, it don't count.
And, most importantly, if the Eagles could win it all, it don't count!

New England assembled their dynasty entirely within the free agency/salary cap/parity era. Yes, it can be done.

They say that because that is true, the last time the eages were there 47 years ago there were 12 teams and no playoffs

you call it minimizing rational people call it putting it in the proper perspective

- Technology has allowed players to maximize their strengths and skills on
the playing field

thats why its tougher now than it was then

- Championship games back then don't count anymore because too

Oh they count, but dont try and pass them off as being on par with the superbowl because they arent

Yet ...Superbowl dynasties seem to hold more esteem than Championships of those NFL pioneers. But couldn't the same argument be used for Lombardi recipients of the 80s and 90s.

No because in the early days of the game there were very few teams and even fewer competetive teams

What happened to football dynasties? Are players so evenly distributed throughout the NFL that competition, and match-ups are factors in having one team dominate. Was it easier to obtain Superbowl championships when a team is loaded up with playmakers, and giants of the past.

Ask the patriots

The Dolphins went undefeated, the Cowboys, Patriots, and Steelers are teams that hold the prestigious right to be call "Dynasties." Will the NFL ever see another dynasty? Or will an NFL dynasty become a thing of the past?

again ask the pats

What team will rise up as NFL Dynasty in 2006 ...and Beyond. Could It be a foreign team like England, Canada, Mexico, ? Or will those team's of "old" step back up and claim their rightful place as a dynasty.
