Odds, to my knowledge, are adjusted based on how many people are betting on whom.

All it means is that the Commanders fans are placing bets that they win the division while Dallas fans are placing bets that they win the Super Bowl.

Actually, Dallas is the favorite. Their odds are 5/2(2.5/1). Washington's is 4/1. Carolina and Seattle are also ahead of Washington at 7/2(3.5/1).

Yeah, but that's just cause those are the teams people are betting on.

It's not like some panel of experts sat down and picked the winner and told Las Vegas that Dallas would probably be winning the Super Bowl.

The odds change as the bets change.

I realize that. I was just correcting an error made previously in the thread that Washington was the favorite. They're not.

I put $100 on Dallas to win the SB 3 weeks ago and got 8-1 odds. I thought I would do better than that, glad I didnt wait for it to drop to 5-1.

Vegas odds don't mean anything in terms of who they think will win and who will lose. It's about who the money is being bet on and how much people are betting on them.

It's economics 101, if 1000 people each put down 100 dollars for Dallas to win, they raise Dallas' odds so that 1: It will be less appealing and 2: So that, if Dallas wins, they dont have to put out as much money.
