My heart goes out to that fanbase.
They deserve better than this.

Yea, and according to LaCanfora, they had the 2nd pick with only Buffalo ahead of them. What I was trying to say was that unless a team like Miami was willing to put in a 2nd round tender on him, they easily could have had him in the 3rd (or maybe even the 4th).AbeBeta;4618025 said:supp doesn't work that way, a lottery determines order

Sure, but a 2nd is a high price to pay for a team not expected to do much. Also consider that Gordon's not very polished. He may contribute some for Cleveland this year, but for most other teams, he'd probably be redshirting his first year to learn the playbook and routes.AbeBeta;4618027 said:You think they might want someone to catch balls now?

This is true, but I think they could've used such a high pick on a receiver that's a lot more polished and with fewer red flags. I'm not saying Gordon won't be a good player, but a second (almost a low first) for an unknown commodity is a very big price to pay.AbeBeta;4618047 said:Most rookie WR don't do anything in their first year. The logic that there are good WR in next year's draft just means that next year they'd be in a similar boat developing someone

Was anyone saying Cleveland in the second?
