I’m sure if there were DE, WR, TE to draft they would use high picks on them. You know, positions they already have an abundance of.

They would never consider a S or DT. You know, positions where we need players.

But we already had our franchise guy in aikman. That made walsh very useful and completely expendable. Franchise QBs, perceived or otherwise, are still the most valued commodity in football.

Yes, but the next year they could have had a HOF LB or DT which they missed out on because of the Walsh pick. The trade of Walsh still never amounted to what they missed out on. They also could have traded down with someone wanting QB Jeff George

Supplemental draft can be used to obtain a player or to acquire a player to be used as a trade to make your next draft even better. Jimmy took Steve Walsh because of the perception (wrong) that Walsh was a franchise qb. Jimmy then traded Walsh for a #1,2 , and 3 picks.

Now that is the 2nd part of a very important question. I think a good DB for 3rd or 4th round pick and some cold ones would go a long way to starting the season(pre) on a positive note.

It's a very limited draft that doesn't include elite prospects - not much to sell.

Alexander's best bet is to convert to safety. I don't think he can survive as a cornerback in the NFL.

So far, the Chiefs and Bills are the teams rumored to burn a pick tomorrow. There has been zero about Dallas working out or visiting with any of these players. Take that how you wish.
