BP has some tough decisions ahead......sure glad I don't have to make them.

Petitti, McQ, or the vet Fabini?????? Do you keep the vet or go w/youth?

Tough Call.....I would go w/youth .

me too, I think BP cuts Fabini and keeps his # next to his pillow like he did w/ Adrian Murrell

I've taken up for Skyler Green throughout the preseason, but tonight Babe, Mickey, and Bill made a couple of comments about him being immature. Have I missed something? Has his personality turned people off?

I think Al Singleton will be traded or released.
This would be likely if Carpenter hadn't been moved inside. He has so this isn't likely.

Green is a goner imho.

I think they'd love to get him on a PS.

Suprise?
I dont see any. We can see the top 45 so after that anything else would be mild at best.

I do think we could trade a backer. A good backer.

Its amazing that w ehave Singleton, Carpenter and Burnett all running 2nd team. Sheesh that would be a better starting unit than NO or some other teams.

I believe Carpenter was moved inside because Greg Ellis has looked very good not because of Singleton.

We are ridiculously deep at LB and TE. BP loves those positions and it shows.

My avatar (paying up a bet) is evidence of the one that surprises me most and makes the least sense to me.

I have to say I was very surprised by that move, despite being a raging Romosexual.

I'll bet Fabini is cut and picked backup after week one of the season to avoid the guarantee of his salary. Mquistan will not clear waivers, and Pettiti won't be given up on after one season. If I had to guess Bill is going to keep an extra receiver in week one to guard against Owens' hammy lingering into the season and that WR will be cut the next week to usher in Fabini.

Just my guess, though.

This would be a good time for Parcells to show that the hard work of Rector in the offseason pays off over just being a pretty high draft pick (Green). I call it a wash and go with Rector and Hurd over Green.

You may very well be correct.

Fabini has played well in games. I don't see why everyone thinks he's getting cut. We have 2 young tackles so he's not exactly a "progress stopper". Colombo is going to start at RT and Fabini is backing up.
Fabini has not played all that well. Last night when Romo threw the ball that was intercepted he had to throw that ball on the move because Fabini had wiffed on his block. Fabini's guy came clean, untouched and Romo had to step up and hurry his throw. If Romo could have set up in the pocket he would have been able to make a better throw. The throw he made was not a bad throw and it should have been caught but it was not one of his best throws because he had to scramble away from Fabini's assignment.

We have too many tackles on this team with Flozell, McQuistan (who we will keep), Pettiti (our swing tackle), Colombo (starting RT), and Fabini (progress stopper and not playing well). If I'm making the cuts Fabini is gone.

Green would easily pass through waivers and would be a perfect ps player. That's why he'll be cut.

I did my mock roster after the game last night and it is pretty much the same as yours. I think we keep Suisam for kickoffs. The final 2 spots come down to Curtis vs Polite and Fowler vs Hoyte. I think Green is cut and makes it to the practice squad, he hasn't shown anything that another team would want at this point. Hoyte will be tough to cut because he has made plays at LB and on special teams but if he makes it, he will be inactive every week. I'd hate to cut him because with all the teams thin at LB, I think he will get claimed, but guys like him can be had on the 2nd day of the draft every year. If Fowler is a player, I think he stays and Hoyte goes. If somehow we don't keep 2 kickers, I think both Curtis and Polite make the team.

I'll go with Green after last night's non-performance. Haven't been really impressed with him at all. With Rector's play so far, he stays over Green.

Not sure on Fabini, could go either way. Singleton stays, good experience for the younger LB's to learn, provides great quality for depth. Kenyon Colemen will go first before Al. I think Fowler & Coleman are possible trade bait.

How about M. Stanley, never really hear anything about him at all. McQuistan has had too much exposure, and T's his size will get picked up by some team with a decent line and sit and learn.

Can anyone play backup C, what can Al Johnson do other than that, a possibility there, but not likely.

Abram Elam has shown enough to stay, but enough to be why he could end up on the PS too, tough choice there.

Polite or a 4th TE, that's another hard call, I say Polite stays and 3 TE's Ryan or Curtis hasn't shown enough to be steady, or from what little we can see from these games, since we don't see the practices. Thought Curtis made some good catches, but then he would drop some also.

I'll need to take a real good look at the roster later and try to think about some of this.

Well that's one play. Can you think of any other? And on that single play all Romo had to do was step up in the pocket to make the throw. By the way, the throw was right on target. I'm not sure how he could have thrown it better. He stepped up and stepped into his throw just fine. Like I said I hadn't broken down the 49er tape, but Fabini didn't miss a single block, not a single one, in New Orleans and did pretty well against the 49ers. Fabini *IS* playing well. McQ is playing like a very green rookie. Fabini is clearly the better backup this season.

Some possible surprise cuts...

Jacques Reeves
Nate Jones
Willie Pile

Haven't heard a peep out of these three and I never liked any of them. Glenn and Coleman can serve as backups this year to Newman and Henry. Davis, Watkins and Elam should all stick at safety....that makes 8 total in the secondary.

Suisham
Green
McBriar
Copper

Missed FG's and special teams mistakes will get you axed every time on a Parcells team. Rector's versatility on ST's and quickness as a receiver, could spell the end of Copper's run in Dallas. Green is a one dimensional player at this point and instead of excelling as a PR...he sucks at it. Fredrickson's versatility just might supplant the incumbent McBriar.

Fabini
Johnson

Inconsistent play from veteran OL, is something this team will no longer tolerate.
