Surprised at how little Luepke's been used

I really need an answer for this I mean this is literally our coaching staff. This is why we need a new coaching staff. I don’t care what they’ve done over the last four weeks. Mike McCarthy is an offensive coordinator just does not know how to divide the game plans bring the right active players and utilize those players correctly he ends up, icing his own players. What do you think it took so long for Rico to get his chance because they just basically put them at the bottom of the list for about three weeks and then they bring them back up to the top of the list anybody who showed some promise I will say they disappeared.

This just shows the mismanagement of our players is one of the biggest reasons we need a new coaching staff, especially office of coordinator I mean there’s too many names to listen he’s one of them, but I imagine that there’s some reason that he’s a hybrid blocking back and used as a tight end times that the way Schoonmaker’s coming on and some of the other Titans that they haven’t really needed him as much but you know he’ll probably go somewhere else to be a pro bowler

I'm not one of his truthers, but I think the kid has a role and thought we might see it expanded this season.

He's got like 15 touches this year, and I don't remember the last time I've even seen him on the field.

Kinda surprising. (to me)
He is on the field often. He is the big white guy in the backfield.

Why would he get time now that Dowdle is perfoming? Wasted the first half of the year throwing the ball all over the yard, then gave the rock to Zeke and finally gave Rico a shot.

Our ownership and coaching is abysmal.
He would get carries if Zeke wasn't active. It's on Jerry for wasting our talent. Zeke shouldn't be on the team.

He only played 23 snaps on offense. Do you sleep during the game?

True he is the difference between 5-9 and 10-4................... :muttley:....Anybody see that small person HB we got????

I think with all the short to intermediate passes the offense does you'd think he'd be more involved as he's kinda like a small TE on passing routes.

never suggested anything of the sort you illiterate buffoon. simply surprised he hasn’t played more than he has
Nice, as always, when faced with the truth of the situation, you special kind of people (if you qualify as Human beings) result in INSULTS like the above.
Sir the only BUFFOON here is you posting on one of the most insignificant positions on the field on a player who is a NON- Playmaker!

My friend, don’t expect much from our so called coaching staff, they barely know how to beat the Giants, don’t ask them on how to be creative with a FB/HB.

What are your expectations for utilizing Luepke? Is he not getting enough snaps or is McCarthy not getting the ball in his hands enough? I can understand people pushing for guys like Turpin and Rico earlier in the year to get the ball more, but I'm struggling to understand the complaints around Luepke.

They're not even giving Luepke a chance. That's the complaint.

Luepke is a good pass catcher and a good power back. Now would be the perfect time to see if he can pick up some first downs on 2nd/3rd/4th and short.

I'm just not sure where he has actually shown that though. He seems like a guy who if you sneak him out on a delay is athletic enough to make a guy miss in the open field, but I dont see a great receiver, not can you sneak him out all that often without defenses catching on. Hes ran 139 routes this season which seems like a decent amount for a FB.

Him as a runner I think is a better argument, but is feeding him the football and going without a FB to block better than getting Zeke/Rico the ball with Hunter leading the way? I'm open to that discussion, but my gut tells me Hunter is a better blocker than ball carrier and the data although extremely limited seems to indicate the same. I'm just not sure hes a better short yardage guy than Zeke is, but I'm open to it....this just seems like an odd one for anyone to pound their fist about when we have more dynamic players to prioritize getting the football to.

The same man that hired this coaching staff will be hiring the next one.
