Surprised that we didn't take any WRs

I am very surprised that we took another RB on days three but didn't take a stab at WRs. Obviously Dez is at top of the list. but Williams is average if nothing else and in the last year of his contract. Butler is speed but limited. Beasley is strictly slot guy.... we have no WR depth on this team....

That's a valid criticism.

Comes down to 11 holes in the dam and only having 10 fingers.

Truthfully if Dez is healthy the depth issue isn't a big deal.

That being said I would look for WR action come next draft. WR & secondary will be where the action is at.

If Williams is average, what do you think any WR taken in round 6 would have been? We wren't taking a WR with 2 picks in the 4th.

I'm not.

They should have a decent competition at the bottom of the depth chart in camp with what they already have

I'm not.

Dallas has its No. 1 guy, will let Butler and Williams battle for No. 2, like Beasley in the slot and have Lucky to return kicks. That's five guys I believe the team appreciates having more than some fans do.

Now, we could have upgraded, but I don't think we had to to win in the passing game. Just need Dez to be healthy.

Thankfully, outside of RB, WR is piss

That's it right there.

If Irvin had been injured in the early 90's, the Cowboys had no one that could have taken his place or come remotely close.

I read we might bring in Chris Brown from ND as a UDFA.

One good thing about this year coming up: Williams is on a contract year.

The guy is a good player and underrated around here. He should be setup for a big year this year (think Demarco, 2014). Which will only help this team reach the playoffs.

We had official visits with four WR, so it was definitely a position we had considered a need. All four were gone by the time we had picked Zeke, three defensive players, and our project QB.

you take a chance...... why not? we have our depth at RB....with proven commodities...yet take another RB? why? what's the chances of that RB making the team vs. a WR.

I think we go WR early next year, but we did sign Chris Brown out of Notre Dame. ran a 4.47 at his pro day and is a solid route runner.

Let's see what ButLer can do with a healthy Romo, a healthy Dez, and now with Zeke, before anyone says he is limited. And he was playing injured last year, with a sore hammy.

It's been overlooked but last year the Cowboys picked up the Browns 2015 4th round pick, WR Vince Mayle.
