But again, most INT's are the fault of a bad throw or decision, I'd think. Most DB's have INT's given to them.
I would say the ones that do it consistently are the ones who are adept at baiting the QB into "bad" looking throws and the ones who are the best at anticipating routes. I wouldn't put Newman into either category.
But again.. he did catch the balls thrown at him, so at least give him credit for that. His play this season goes further than a nice amount of INT's though. Clearly, he wasn't the same T New that we all remember him being.
He's never been the most consistent player or a guy to make many plays on the ball, but this year he just got beat over and over. I hope it was just because of injury, but he's not getting any younger either. Beat today badly by the white boy.. if he's not injured it was a play that shows he's clearly lost a step or two.
