I'd say Surtain being a 4.50 guy is credible, give or take a tick. Not a high-octane time but nothing that will drop his draft stock either.

His 39" vert and 10'11" broad jump though ARE high octane, and compare pretty well with Xavier Rhodes and Jalen Ramsey.

That's plenty fast for Quinn's scheme. He's not going to be asked to carry receivers all over the field. Quinn's scheme relies more on fundamentals and the ability to get hands on and re-route (see Richard Sherman).

Not saying he's my pick, but Surtain fits the mold perfectly.

Hopefully he goes in the top 9.
And it would be great if Parsons goes in the top 9 as well.

How did they time it? Hand timed, laser timed, electric timed? I mean if they timed it the same way the combine timed it, what's your beef?

So he’s not Deion. 40 yard times are not the be all end all. Jerry Rice was like 4.6 if I recall correctly.

His father wasn’t Deion either. Worked out just fine for him. And I’d take a chance on any Alabama player and their pro day. Saban has credibility.

I think with the news about Farley, Surtain is the most likely choice at 10. If he goes before then, they will get a great prospect that falls.

I think that is good speed for a 6-2 208 CB.
If he lost 10 pounds I bet he could crack 4.39.
Not to mention his 10" hands, 32.5" arms and 39" VJ
