Swaim and Scandrick updates?

Spags said he watched Scandrick on the ride home, said he was walking around, and talking to teammates. Seemed to be doing better, but will have to go through the protocol.

Anyone got any health updates on the pair? Skandrick was shown on the bike after being taken out so I assume con. protocol. But how bad is Swaim pectoral injury? Time to activate Hannah if more than 2 weeks?
I don't know about Skandrick but at least Whitten came out of the game healthy...

Swaim has been so good this year. That bums me out if he's seriously hurt. Escobar is not a great blocker but he has gotten a little better and he would add another weapon that defenses would have to account for. The Scandrick injury hurts. The secondary is running out of players but how much are they losing if Scandrick can't play? He hasn't played that good. I've never been a big fan of his. I know he's been considered their best cover corner since they drafted him, But I just don't see that myself. He's always making comments about being disrespected and gives stats of guys that he's covered. Tackle somebody. Intercept passes that are in your hands.

Has Scandrick given up any touchdowns since he came back? I don't remember any.

Lee has taken out two of our CBs this year...sheesh, take out one of the other team next time!

It sure looked like Wilcox was trying his best. I think the defense feeds off of plays like he had on Bell.

As things turned out, I'm glad the staff decided to pull Scandrick out when they did. Hamstring problems require great care and caution not to test them beyond their limits. While our secondary missed his presence in the 4th quarter, fortunately things worked out well at game's end.

Perhaps we can now look forward to Scandrick renewing his rehab and good health in hopes that he'll return to the lineup in time for the Baltimore Ravens at high noon next Sunday. There's a good bit of work to be done as we approach the stretch run. Getting Scandrick back in good health should be extremely valuable in aiding that cause. I was relieved to see him riding the stationary bike rather than being carried off to be treated.

My favorite defensive player, bar none, but I've noticed that he's been kind of launching himself into the pile somewhat randomly and more often than not, hitting teammates. I know that they are trying to right the turnover ship by making contact with engaged receivers, but....

I never said he cost us the game. My point was to show that blocking is not Escobar's strength and that Garrett/Linehan lean heavily on the 2 TE set, particularly Swaim, to provide sturdy blocking. If forced to replace Swaim with Escobar, it likely will force them to alter the gameplan. So given how the coaches like to deploy and use that 2nd TE, I'd much rather have Hanna in there whose strengths are better used in that role.

But yes, you are right, Escobar deserves credit for standing in there and getting the job done on a crucial play.
If Escobar has to play..

it means another down field target for DAK.

I believe I saw Dallas playing with an additional OL on the line for run blocking.

That is wise.

The fact is, he did make the block. How can you call him out for nearly costing us the game because he almost didn't make the block?
Yeah I thought he blocked well there at the POA tbh. He stalemated his guy which is all we needed

Swaim has come a long way in a little over a year. Some people claimed he shouldn't have even been drafted or be on the team. Now, concern that he may be injured. Swaim has been productive and a good draft pick.

A couple weeks ago, Escobar was recommended as trade bait or getting cut outright. Now, he might get serious playing time.

I'm glad Swaim and Escobar are on the team.
