La'el Collins is coming off a significant toe injury. That's the injury I'm worried about. Those often become chronic and never heal properly. It's ended many careers.
In certain situations yeah, but his was more of a freak accident, it bent the wrong way when hit from behind. Same thing happened to Lee and it hasn't cropped up again. Felix Jones too although he's been out of the league for a while

Just an FYI: My dad just did this to his foot in February. The doctors said this is a 1yr recovery because of blood flow to that area. He is in his mid 50's, so that doesn't help.

Good thing that this didn't happen to Witten then. Being 75 and all.

Side note - It's called a Jones fracture because Jerry Jones was the first to spot the injury on an MRI.
Jerry is the only NFL HOF inductee asking for 3 separate HOF busts' for his contribution to the NFL. 1 for GM, 1 for owner and lastly 1 for player injury diagnosis/analyst. He's simply amazing.

FRISCO, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys tight end Geoff Swaim is likely out until training camp because of foot surgery this week, sources told ESPN.

Swaim suffered the injury in informal workouts this week at The Star. Players are allowed to work out at the team's facility but cannot have contact with coaches. The Cowboys coaches are off this week. Swaim had a screw inserted into his foot to help secure the bones and will likely be held out until the team leaves for training camp in Oxnard, California, in July.

Glorified WR from what I have seen of him.
but highly glorified....he's the type of guy other teams are killing it with on offense because no one can cover them. We've had some small TEs in the past like Novachek....he couldn't move anyone, but he got in the way and kept his feet moving. I'll take that if it brings what Engram can bring to the passing game.

This was the best TE on the roster for Risen, huge setback, round one TE coming up!
