Swaim's time

Not sure what you are expecting. Hopefully he holds his own as a blocker and maybe catches a pass or two out of the back field.

Was hoping he could develop into Hanna's role. Someone who can be an inline player for us but who has dangerous ball skills.

With Dez going out I expect some TE heavy formations.

Maybe the Eagles will overlook him a bit, and he turns those few passes into important gains. Rather a big gain, a TD or a first down or 2. Will give them something to think about, and not focus on someone else on other plays, as they just can't ignore him.

Not the game you want to lose Hanna but glad they appear they have suitable replacement. Hanna makes a lot of key blocks in the running game that largely go unnoticed.

I like Swaim. He's a good blocker, but he's shown he can run crisp routes and be a threat in the passing game as well.

Funny that Hanna was thought of as a receiving TE coming out of school and has developed into a really solid blocker. Swaim has ability as a blocker, let's hope he is ready.

Hopefully it's Escobars time. Swaim could get some snaps, but I read reports that his blocking wasn't up to snuff just yet. If that's true, I'd rather see Escobar get most of those snaps.

I think he will in time, but as a rookie, in week 2, I would not expect anything except him holding his own as a blocker.
