Switzer

its amazing that video makes him look great then he makes huge mistake and its like yo clown put down the weights. Not taking shot at you...just how things work.
Wood--- i cant think about that game....it got me so angry....and then when i hear the company line...oh we just got to get better ..or..we just got to
clean up a few things...or ..we just have to get back to playing at the level of who we are....my blood boils....ok yes i got issues

I can't see Switzer making a comment like, 'Won't be the last time I make this mistake' in a Bellichik run organization. Guys here feel way too comfortable screwing up. He should be worried about if he'll get back on the field after single handedly destroying momentum and letting the Rams back in the game. Instead, his attitude is like no big deal, I made a little boo boo and I will make more in the future and you'll have to accept that. Somebody has to get in his head like ok, you made this mistake as a rookie, and that's understandable, but if you think you are going to go out there and 'do it again', you're going to be planted on that bench.

He lost his "break" with that stupid comment as far as Im concerned.
mr Rise---it still makes my blood boil....i realize i have some serious issues ..when cowboys lose like that its like pearl harbor all over again in my house....

Man Im older and have a bit more restraint now, but my wife still hates football season because of my past behavior. It used to be once a year I got thrown in the dog house over my post game fits. The year we were the 1 seed and lost to the giants I punched my work bench and broke my watch lol. My family also reminds me of the time I stood on the coffee table and literally ripped my shirt in half to throw it at the television. Theres many more examples. But now days I just turn off the tv and go about my day. It sux just as bad but it aint worth all that. As my daughter got older she really got on my case and I've been trained not to berate the team or act like a total clown after a loss.

everyones golden boy, basically 15 yards lost on kickoff returns and a fumble on a boneheaded punt return, cost the game
Not a great game by Switzer...especially the turnover.
That was one possession though.
The Rams had 8 SCORING DRIVES

We were extremely lucky that whopping 6 of them resulted in field goals.
If just half of those FGs ended in TD drives we are blown out.

Dak also had 2 clean interceptions dropped.
It could've been ugly folks.
The defense was getting owned.

Bortles>dak any day

How sad do you have to be to troll a team you didn't even play or in the same division?

i am becoming a pessimist cowboy after today...for some reason this loss really got me upset even more than Denver

It's easy brother. Because for the entire first half, we saw how dominate our team can be. Then to see the effort, in the second half is just disgusting. It's almost as if they had to attempt to play that bad.

On the same spectrum, Brown dropped a could be game winning pick. If Crawford had a brain, he picks up the ball right after the half and we likely score to increase the lead. No garbage hold on Frederick or Williams makes a routine catch, it's a tie game,

Goes both ways.

Bounces just didn't go our way enough to win. Rams were the better squad in the second half and does what our team clearly cannot do. MAKE CHANGES AND ADJUST THEIR GAMEPLAN

I loved the pick at the time although i would have flipped him with Woods, but it looks to me he is not NFL ready physically and isn't a very smart football player.
That play turned a blowout into a tight game and eventual loss.

15 yards lost on kickoffs doesn't equate to much of anything. I'd rather have a guy try and bring it out and get to at least the 15 yard line and possibly make a big return than to have a touchback.

If you get it to the 20 yard line, you are looking at 1 extra play for the drive (if that) to make up for not being out to the 25-yard line. People in football greatly over-value field position in the game...even meaningless yards.

Where we got hurt was Switzer's fumble. That was awful. But taking it out of the endzone in hopes of getting a big return and losing a whopping 5 yards is really inconsequential.

Yup, instead of just fair catching it, he tried to make something and fumble. Situation football.
And I still remember fans loving the fake fair catch last time
That's why many others said it was stupid at the time

If you draft a guy and build him up to be the savior of your return game don’t be surprised if he feels obligated to push himself right into bad decisions his first year. Rookies gonna rook.

Also the % seem to say a thing caught in the end one take a knee as you get 25 he line vs at Best between 15 - 20.

I agree with this.

The muff punt killed our momentum and that possession which forced another defensive series which led to a rams score. If that punt wasn't muffed we would of been choking the rams out with TOP and they would of been making even riskier plays to catch up. The game was firmly ours before that punt.

It was a huge momentum killer and point swing. It was the play of the game... unfortunately we were on the losing end of it.

Doesn't matter. This is a game of momentum. Jimmy Johnson talks about it all the time. Who is going to make the play to get us the momentum and, in this case, who is going to make the mistake to cost us the momentum? These are game changing plays.

The little Switzer boy changed the game today and for the single reason of being selfish. He's no doubt frustrated with having next to no role in the offense so he's trying to force things in the return game.

It was a dumb play, an even dumber comment after the game and he should be released on Monday. He won't be but he should be.

Teams will also send gunners at him knowing he thinks hes special and wont call for fair catch. JG had better reel him in before he gets killed.

Exactly! People on this board for some odd reason still like Marinelli's garbage *** and always deflect the reason we lost off of him. He is absolute trash and needs to be fired ASAP.
Would love to have Wade Phillips running our D.
