This one REALLY hurts. I guess its goodbye for Charlie now.
Shame but that is the way it is. 3 failed HCs in a row is a bad thing.
But then we have had a really pathetic AD for all of those hirings (plus the resume fiasco). Maybe the new guy will be better. At least CW left the cupboard a LOT fuller then Tytanic did.

I agree, any day the Irish lose, especially when it is to a patsy at home, is a good day.

They are now 6-5, likely 6-6 after a trip to south central LA next week. While they are bowl eligible with six wins, if they are 6-6 can anyone legitimately say they should go to a bowl game?

Charlie was a great OC- just does not seem to have that little something extra that top HCs have. Like Norv and others who were really good OC's.

He recruited great, was great with the alumni and just about everyone else.
Just cannot get down the building of the staff and that sort of thing.

Oh well. I think THIS time the AD will be looking for a proven HC. No more chances, no more wishes, someone who has been there and done that.
Gonna be hard to find a real good one.
