T-Mac ran 4.48 40 at his pro day!

As much as I understand CeeDee needs someone to take attention from him in the passing game, I just don’t know about picking a receiver with our first pick when it appears we will be going back to a ball control offense. If we draft Tet for example are we just going to send him out on a few goes a game. If his stat line is under 50 catches and 500 yards I would think that is a wasted pick. Our first two picks need to be playmakers not decoys.
Schott got in trouble wanting to pass the ball too much with Wilson in Seattle, I don't think we are going to see a run heavy scheme, more of a balanced one.

I hear you but I think Schotty also wants to protect Dak and the young offensive linemen. Best way to do that is run the ball. Martin said this the other day.

Tet McMillan is a good fit for the Cowboys. If he is gone take Emeka Egbuka. Get that number 2 receiver on a rookie contract and before you know it we will be looking good for years.
Yeah, taking EE at 12 is a reach. There will be better defensive players available on our board than him IMO.

In case anyone hasn't noticed, we still have junk at DT. We are basically going to roll out the same caliber DT rotation in 2025 unless they draft a real stud that can make an impact immediately.

while i do agree, if his statline looks like that, it's most likely because we went elsewhere due to opportunities created. just win baby.

Besides, name the receiver you like and you can be sure they had good games against lesser opponents. That’s college football.
It's not a negative to have big games against bad teams, of course. But I'd like to see big games against some good competition, too.

I don't claim to be an expert on him so I don't have a super-strong opinion. People I respect like him, and that means something. Maybe he's like a CeeDee who wasn't a workout warrior, either. But I am generally wary of these big, relatively slower guys who don't get much separation. And when they won't do the shuttles and those things, that doesn't look good to me either.

We will see. Our pass blocking was poor last season. That is not going to change. The offensive coordinator and offensive line coach specialize in run blocking and schemes.
Cause we had zero run game until late in the season. Teams knew what was coming.

Guyton. Martin, and Steele were horrible at pass blocking last season. Dak was getting killed.

Well Jerry thought Zeke would be enough.

I think they need to go receiver with their 1st pick to get the number 2 receiver on a rookie contract. Either Tet McMillan at 12 or trade back and get Emeka Egbuka or possibly Golden. I would also consider Jeanty at 12.

Okay, but I just showed you 5-6 quality opponents he performed well against. And that’s just arbitrarily using 100-yards as a measuring stick. He played against 7 ranked opponents in 2023.

I think there is a better chance of T-Mac being available at pick 12 than Ashton Jeanty, for me the ideal would be for Dallas to select Ashton, but it is clear that the chances are very low (due to the stupidity of the Cowboys of not knowing how to manage the games in 2024 and winning only by ego, and because of that, they dropped from pick 9 to 12), because the Raiders or the Bears may take him, but T-Mac could be a good consolation prize, and I see a higher possibility than being able to select him. If they don't have the opportunity either (again because of the stupidity of the Cowboys) the ideal thing as losers would be to trade down and select the best player available. If Dallas really wanted to change things they would have to be aggressive and be able to go for even Abdul Carter, that would be ideal, or even Ashton, but anyway, we will see more of the same, a losing team that wants to continue pretending to be America's team.

I always love it when the pundits basically guarantee that 20 different guys have “no shot of making it to 12”. Math tells me otherwise.
