T-Mac ran 4.48 40 at his pro day!

Okay, but I just showed you 5-6 quality opponents he performed well against. And that’s just arbitrarily using 100-yards as a measuring stick. He played against 7 ranked opponents in 2023.
No need to keep going back and forth on this -- it's not a hill to die on for me -- but OU gave up 38 points in a bowl game (and bowl games are weird these days), USC's defense under Grinch was an absolute embarrassment, Colorado wasn't good, ASU wasn't very good in '23... Right?

Without watching the games, I'll give credit for Utah -- they're always very solid under Whittingham. Miss State, maybe. Overall they weren't a good team either, but they may have had some good DBs.

100%.

I still like Tet and would be fine with him at 12 but a 4.6 WE that early is a little scary.
What do you make of his drop in production last year? Was it solely the QB?

I'm not arguing, BTW, just curious to hear your perspective.

The offense, the QB etc…I think they realized due to the QBs limitations they just tried to get the ball in their best players hands as quickly as possible.

It’s not a concern for me, as he was out there dominating the SEC the year prior at the age of 19.

Even if his ceiling is drake London that's not anything special. Hes not Mike Evans and neither is Drake
Bad year to be looking for a WR at the top of the draft.

Might be best to go after the likes of Higgins, Noel, Royals etc then invest a 1st rounder on a 2WR/slot WR. Problem is, I'm not sure that does much more than Tolbert for the team

I get it, but it still doesn’t give me the warm and fuzzies drafting that kind of athlete at 12.

Ideally you’re getting a plus athlete with plus production against top competition. At this point I’d probably lean Burden for that reason or feel better about a trade down taking Golden / Egbuka.
I would be much more inclined to trade down 5 or so spots and grab Egbuka or 10 spots and maybe grab Golden, plus some more draft capital. No guarantee that would work though. If Tet is available at 12 and Jeanty is already gone then the team is in a dilemma. Tet just seems like a slot receiver for his career and although that is important. The team has way more important needs for priority positions.

100% agree - problem is in a weak class at the top I highly doubt we’ll get trade back offers.

Maybe. But with this being a very good and deep wr class, I'm not sure. I guess it depends on teams boards . I think if we wanted to get crazy at 12 we could easily go Luther Burden. He's a bigger Tyreek Hill with more versatility. We sorely need speed on offense. He and Turpin would absolutely baffle teams defensively. Would open up our running attack too.
This is not a deep wr class. That is why Tet gets drafted higher than he should.

Last year would have been the one to draft a WR.
