ESPN just had a stat not long ago about Terrell Owens needs two TD's to move into second place on the all-time list behind the one and only JERRY RICE!!!

Wow! I didn't know that T.O. was that close to move to #2 for all-time TD's. Very Impressive!

I am glad that T.O. is on our side now and look forward to him to move to #2 on that list. Maybe T.O. will cap that off with an All-Pro and SuperBowl Champ to his resume.

what is most insane is that if TO played the next 5 years and averaged 13 TD's a season he would be at 194 and still 2nd of all time. Jerry Rice TD record is INSANE!!!!

TO may play out his next three years and be somewhere around 165 td's or so.......and Randy Moss is great as he is may not make up the 5 TO has on him. Randy Moss and TO are 1st ballot HOF'ers and neither will get within 30 of Jerry Rice........

TO is 34, Moss is 30 and Harrison is 35 years old right now. It is difficult to tell how much longer any of these guys will play and at what level. Just based on age Moss has a chance to catch Rice, but we have all witnessed how he can just pack it in if he is not please with the situation around him.

This is for receiving TDs only, not all time TDs.

Or have Cowboys fans forgotten a guy named Emmitt Smith? ;)

your right, he is just 30 and full of talent, however your also right, dude can pack it in the minute the talent around him is no longer great.

IMO, the record is safe. Marvin Harrision is starting to wear down, and as great as TO is, I can not see the man playing ball at 40.............

Should be a fun race to the record watch no doubt.

Yeah I remember doing the numbers a year or two back. Its crazy like you said.

If it happened to happen then fine.

He has to want the SB more. I would imagine.

At this rate, it's hard to see how they could keep him out of the HOF. He's got the signature playoff moment (winning TD vs. the Packers), played valiantly in a losing cause in Philly's SB loss, and owns overwhelming regular season stats. Only spite stands in his way.

He'll go down as the 2nd best ever.

Moss turned the Vikings into a playoff team. Moped in Oakland. Made the Patriots great (owens would have similar numbers in the same offense).

Owens revived the 49ers, Eagles, and Cowboy's franchises.

Thing is, if any one of these guys is to continue play until they're 40, it's going to be Owens. What happens if he gets to the end of his current deal, has stayed injury free for the most part, and has averaged about 12 TD's a season? Do you try to resign him again? The guy is a freak of nature physically and has a love for the game of football, you don't think he'd love the attention of breaking Jerry's TD record?

Granted he's far away, but he's arguably the hardest working guy on the team. If anyone can do it, I wouldn't doubt TO. Moss will probably get somewhat close, but I don't think he passes Rice.

The 49ers went 11-5 in 1995, the year before they drafted TO. They won the SB in 1994.

The Eagles went to 3 straight NFC Championship games before adding TO.

Owens certainly helped make every team he has been with better, but he did not revive those teams.

Imagine if Moss had Brady his entire career like Rice had Montana/Young

Although Rice's record is amazing, just look at his QB's.

I would love to see TO play until he cant play anymore. BUT I think he probably just plays out this contract. I dont think he will be interested at the end of the deal. He has said something to that effect.

As much as he and Jerry on the same page... I dont see signing him at that age for market value.

I think even TO knows that the record is out of reach. As far as his playing timeline goes anyways...
