And so does blind loyalty to a scum bag. Just as the haters are blind to his 'good side', you backers are blind to the 'bad side' of el dorado. In 5 years we will ALL look back and say what a waste of money, just like Carter, and Hutch and Henson and man, did we waste a lot of time and money when you think about it. I am sad again now, but then think we are getting a new coach and anything is possible and its finally an exciting off season. So while I am sad we sucked, I just hope we learned that we dont like it and Jones does the right things from now on so we can all be happy again. Sucking sucks. Thats best left to the eagirls or Giants fans, they know how to deal wih sucking better then us Boys fans.

no one questions if there is any truth in what he said, we question the fact that he said it. why? no need to throw the man under the bus. Contrary to popular belief, Parcells did do some good here. He didn't kiss Owens *** all year so that's why he throws Bill under the bus.

Personally I think people overrate TO's influence in Dallas. He's just a popular punching bag for some folks. I get just as tired of hearing about fans pumping up TO's contributions this year as I do the bashing of TO. It's an old song that's playing on a scratched record.

Other players have been asked about Parcells departure and I didn't have a problem with their responses. TO could've limited his comments to "Maybe it was time for him to go. The organization may have needed change. I wish him well" Or something to that effect.
But to add the comments "Because I wasn't used properly" and all that jazz, it just comes across as whining. Especially when the numbers have disproved how often he's been targeted and was able to produce despite a bum hand and some critical drops.

WHY would you want to change someone. Let him say what he wants who cares. It does not make a difference, he is not in a position of power. Its like an employee complaining about his ex-boss. When your with certain people you will comment freely about subjects, yet edit yourself when your around others. WHY...you want to be liked maybe

You think Rivera will tolerate TO? It should be interesting to see how the next HC deals with it because thus far not many fomer coaches think highly of TO and have wanted him gone.

Look at my history, I don't back any players...but I don't bash either. The game is important not the players(they come and go).

I have said Parcells failed in Dallas. I think he brought in some good talent but in the end he was unable to get the job done. Bill does take heat look around the board sometimes. This does not change the fact that every where TO goes he becomes a problem and makes statments that irk teammates.

I'm not asking him to change. I haven't spoken to him personally to even offer that suggestion.

I'm saying he could've stated his comments differently. He didn't and they annoyed me and that's what I spoke on. And the thing is, I would've said the same thing had any other player on the team said something similarly whiny.

I don't have a love/hate thing for TO. I support/criticize him on situational basis.

All of the more popular players or team leaders are asked their opinion. I have no problem with the media asking his opinion. Bradie, Spears, Ellis, T-New have all spoke on Parcells departure. And all of their comments have threads about them. TO being asked about his departure is no different. The only difference I see is that whole articles about TO's comments have appeared, while the rest have appeared as part of larger articles.

But overall, he has a right to give his opinion and I have no problem with the media asking him for it.

I'm not controled by print and I will speak out regardless of how you or any one else feels about it. The guy creates problems he is not here by accident he is here because 2 other teams said enough is enough. You want to defend him that is your choice but I will not look the other way. As for the media they did not create him other players do not make the statements that cause problems as TO does and has. Funny thing is many around here hate Shockey for the same reason and are not shy about their dislike only differance it Shockey is in NY not Dallas.

Life is funny. He didn't say anything that hasn't been voiced by dozens of fans on this forum. Now some of them are criticizing him for saying it. Before anyone thinks I am calling them out as hypocrites, no I'm not. This forum is nowhere near the platform TO can demand. Hell he has an entire media horde eager for his next screw up. Even when he doesn't screw up they jump on it.

What does this mean? All TO was trying to do was encourage the Cowboys fans that there's no reason to think this franchise is going to go backwards to the Campo years. His motives were nowhere near sinister.

Parcells didn't waste my time. He brought players to the garbage pile we had when he arrived. He turned us from going south to North. And to add he hopefully made Jerry see that he should stay away from the draft.
To me after all those wonderful 5-11 seasons Parcells didn't waste no ones time.

TO should have used that opportunity to say nothing or say sweet nothings. Like "I wish it had not ended this way" or "I wish him well in whatever he does next".

I do not think anyone here would deny the fact that it was his right to say whatever he wanted to. It would have went a long way to just make a small complimentary statement and leave it at that.

There is the right thing to do and there is the thing you have a right to do. In this case he just should have done the right thing.

u cant doubt anything he said, because the record and the collapse says it all. sure owens isnt always politically correct, but the guy makes alot of good points.

i just dont see why all the moruning of parcells. he basically quit on the cowboys. i said this from the time he was hired, that when it got tough he would bail. the guy is all about himself. he had total control, and he just couldnt get the job done. i say *** him. he bailed, his loss he deserves everything he gets

It's not about Parcells. It's about the "Mouth". He dropped important passes in clutch situations. But that's because he wasn't utilized correctly? He was third or fourth in the league in passes thrown to him. He led receivers in TD's. The Cowboys offense was in the top 5 in scoring. But T.O. still has to show ZERO class every time he gets a chance. He's a great athlete and a $*#t human being.
