its been known he like coaching his children's teams, so im not sure he wants to come in early. why not have an insurance handshake deal that if needed you can go get him at midseason again if injuries happen.
Or --- wait until the Cardinals cut Deandre Hopkins later this spring or ealry summer \ lower their trade demands to a 3rd & 5th rounder in 2024 - then redo his contract.
Hopkins turns 31 June; Hilton turns 34 in November.

He looked like he was able to get open in his short time here. Also looked like he still had a little more burst than I expected. I’m not saying one of our young guys wont step up and grab that 4th WR role but none of them have looked like NFL players yet. I’m all for bringing TY on board in about two months if we don’t bring anyone else in via the draft or free agency. Like I said somewhere on here the other day, the only problem with him as our #4 would be that none of our top 4 would run down on kickoffs and punts and I’m not sure how that would work With the game day roster. But there is no doubt to me he could be a good #4.

He had the one nice catch on the bomb from Dak,
But dropped a couple.
Might be time to move on.
He only had 10 targets and caught 7 for 17 yards per catch. He can still get open and make catches
If we draft a guy he wouldn’t have a spot though
And I expect us to draft a guy

The biggest impact would be Tolbert becoming a viable player. He was a small school guy who struggled to learn the recover concepts. But he has talent and hopefully can take a huge step

Expecting intense competition at WR during training camp and preseason.

He sat out until November to watch his son play high school ball. His son will be playing HS ball again this year, so don't expect him to do anything different.
:hammer:
Plus I think TY Hilton wants No part of Training Camp. He's Savvy enough to stay Practice Squad Fit during the Off-season.
The Fact that TY was able to walk into the WR Room and become a day one leader is great but an indictment on the WR situation prior to Hilton's arrival.

They probably feel the same as they have about many others in the past….they think he is better than he is.

I don’t expect him on this years team.

My favorite was his 4.3 self timed 40 and people around here gushed over it.

I don’t even care if it was legit because he plays way slower.
He’s always sucked. Want someone like him who actually has talent? Draft Andre Iosivas in the 4th round.
