You really have reading comprehension problems. I haven't excused anything. I've repeatedly said the team made a mistake drafting Taco. Over and over I've said that. I just don't think it is causing the sky to fall. History has proven over and over again that a bad draft pick does not cause the sky to fall. But, accepting the lessons of history doesn't allow room for melodrama, so you choose to ignore them. That's your thing, not mine.
Maybe this is what you're fumbling for?
George Santayana - "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. To covet truth is a very distinguished passion."
If anyone here is choosing to "ignore" things, it's the guy who wants to shrug their shoulders about this and say "it doesn't bother me", all while using 20 posts to convey their clear "indifference" on the matter. And if you missed it, yes, that was sarcasm. Just like yo clearly missed the fact that you're spending all this time on posts to talk about how something "doesn't bother you", that truly adds up too.
I will say this though. The Cowboys have what is widely regarded as one of the most talented teams in the NFL, and it is also one of the youngest. And that team was built far and away through the draft. We have 8 starters on offense and 9 starters on defense that were Cowboy draft picks, and another starter on offense that we traded a #1 draft pick for. On top of that, there are several key depth players that were Cowboy draft picks. That's pretty damn good use of the draft, and if you are willing to panic because of a single poor pick, you are more interested in creating drama than taking a clear look at what has been going on.
Listen to you, it's like the little kid who brings up every good thing he's ever done after he gets in trouble. Now tell me all about how little Johnny said a cuss word so your screwup doesn't look as bad.
Where is this guy?
"In the end, we all choose how to react to things. You choose to freak out, and I choose not to. Why you find it important that I react like you is puzzling. And a bit comical. Again, you can go on freaking out about this if you want, but
leave me out of it."
Apparently you don't see your pure hypocrisy here, do you? That's "comical". But that's to be expected with someone who clearly struggles with accountability. You can't handle it when it's expected of the Cowboys, and you aren't aware of it when it applies to you either.
You cry and whine about "leaving you out of it" and yet rush right back to reply to this thread? That's hilarious.
