The Cowboys have a history of using the tag a lot. Got to expect them to do it again. Personally I think this year it comes down to either Pollard or LVE. Which ever one looks to be the hardest to resign will get the tag. I think Pollard being a RB and rehabbing a bad injury will be the easiest to resign. I think LVE will have some suitors for his services. Hard to find LB talent and while he is not great Vander Esch is often good and solid.

I really hope they don't use the franchise tag. We don't need to tag a RB for $10 million a year. Especially when we aren't talking about an elite RB. No team is giving Pollard $10 million a year. Try to sign him for less and if it doesn't work out then draft a guy to replace him or sign someone else in free agency. There are tons of free agent RBs and the draft is pretty deep with RBs.

There is ZERO CHANCE of LVE being tagged for $20 mil. :lmao:

The tag for a LBer is $20.9 million. No way I use that much cap room on LVE. I know Bobby Wagner is quite a bit older than LVE but he only got $10 million a year last year. Plus Wagner doesn't miss games due to neck issues. I'm not saying we should sign Wagner. Just using him as an example of how we can get more bang for our buck.

It all depends on the prognosis of that leg. It wasn’t just broken. He had ligament damage as well.

Tag is too high for LVE.

That is what linebacker cost currently. Good veteran LB start about there. Guys like Wagner cost more. If you let LVE walk then you have a big hole to fill. And on top of that you could already use a good LB to go with LVE. I would rather pay my good LB 20 Million than a limping RB 10 any day.

Pollard or nobody. LVE is good, but that's a hefty price...same goes for Wilson and Schultz

Cap Boy is very unskilled and lazy. The team will absolutely tag Pollard.
Been saying this for years. It's hard to be motivated to do a great job when you can't be fired and you're already a billionaire. Cap Boy is just going through the motions and providing lip service until Daddy Jerrah passes away.

Is the tag for LBs 20million?
That seems awfully expensive......
I can't see LVE getting more than 7M per from anybody. There is still a risk of neck/back problems.
