Please tell me what he has done regarding this case, that is actually a proven fact. I believe he has only addressed it about 2-3 times with the public, and it hasn't been much.
if a public figure is dealing a high interest impact issue then thats a behind the scenes maneuvering
its not public unless he hasn't a clue. Addressing the public is a coffee break for JJones
JJones IMO doesn't mow his lawn but it does get mowed.

The single turning point in this case - as far as whether the league has given Zeke due process via fundamental fairness- was when Roberts told Henderson during the arbitration hearing that she recommended no penalty because the witness wasn't credible. That essentially proved that Friel was full of crap and the league was at fault.

The Roberts testimony doesn't happen without Jerry.

But other than that he hasn't done anything.

Jerry has seen many of his players take the wrong turn and in most cases, they still had his support. He usually advises them to take their medicine/punishment and use it to become a better man and/or player. This was bit different, coz Jerry stood by the evidence or lack of. He said from day one he didn't see enough to support any punishment and even more interesting, he said publicly several times. Other words, it just so happens to be Zeke. IMO Jerry would've taken the same position for any of his players with a similar case. Just confirms in my mind, he's the best NFL players owner in the league.........:clap:
Yes, the most player friendly owner in the NFL . Unfortunately that doesn't translate into the best owner/GM in the NFL.

Jerry basically runs the franchise thru the eyes of fan. Which most fans are usually not prepared to make the tough decisions a GM needs to make.

Over paying and hanging on to popular players is not always sound football decisions nor is consistently taking risk on players with injury or off field issues.

Publicly excusing and defending a players behavior to " rock star" status is basically giving him a pass because of his fame. Incredible !!

Not sure if we've ever seen such irresponsible behavior from an owner . The same owner who was reprimanded for speaking out on the drug policy.

It supports this Cowboys greatest fan of an owner placing his and the Cowboys interest above all else which doesn't always align with the NFL, their policies or public opinion just fans who have the mentality of winning above all else .

Too bad Jerry doesn't place winning above his own personal agendas or he would of stepped down as GM. Instead he feels his best shot of assembling talent is thru these risky talents most are staying away from.

he can be frustrating at times (like hanging on to Garrett), but I am glad that he is the owner of my Dallas Cowboys (yes, they are mine)

Do you have a link that says this doesn't happen without Jerry? Seems like it's the NFLPA doing the work, not Jerry.

It's Jerry's money to defend Zeke.

He's expecting a return on his investment no doubt..

like a SB.

I don't think anybody on the team thinks otherwise.

So there is pressure on everybody associated with all this..

If Zeke ends up leaving and the team loses..

we will never hear the end of it.
The NFLPA pays Zeke's Lawyers.

He hasn't done anything, really.

You don't know that. just because it is not in the news?
This tells me he has done A LOT...by staying and keeping things out of the news outlets that would just trash him anyway.
He can't say...uhmm....without someone on here commenting about it.

I'm a fan of Jerrys, regardless of what people say the clearly loves this team, HIS players, and the sport. He's always been loyal to a fault towards his players. But if he believes in them he will go above and beyond.

Well said.
Too bad the NFL can't do the same for the players that keep them employed. They should stick by their players, unless absolute proof is there for them to do the right thing.

Having trouble understanding your logic. The OP claims we should be praising Jerry for all the work he's done on this case. There simply isn't any proof that he has done anything.

Yes, but what I mean is that we do not know what work behind the scenes he has done, that is not public knowledge. Maybe once it is all over, then we may find out. Or not. doesn't matter. But you know Jerry is not sitting back in a lounger twiddling his thumbs and sipping on a JWB. He is not taking TO's advice and sitting in stands and eating popcorn.

That came out in the appeal.

Of course it came out in the appeal. The point is someone had to inform Zeke's team of what happened regarding Roberts. Without that she would not have testified, at said appeal, and it her side may not have come out and been buried. That is what I believe he is referring to.

The question is how did Zeke's team find out about Roberts? Was it Jones? Or was it someone else? I have no idea at this point. Could have been Jones, or it could have been investigative work by Kessler and his team.

If it was already revealed it was Jones, I apologize for not being on top of things. But from what I have seen Jones is not the only possibility for where this information came from.

Either way, I will tip my hat to Jones being right about good news coming out at the end of the week and for defending Zeke in this matter (Whether he had anything to directly to do with Robert's testimony in the appeal or not).

He is drinking JWBlue but I doubt Jerry ever sits in a recliner.

Some of you will hate Jerry to the bitter end no matter what. If you honestly think Jerry has been nicely playing along in the background and has had no say so in this whole thing, you clearly don't understand the man you hate
