Obviouskt we probably need the following via draft or free agency.

1. Starting quality linebacker--preferably elite
2. Backup linebacker
3. 1 Tech
4. Swing Tackle/potential future starter
5. Stud backup RB to Zeke
6. Big tight end with speed.
7. Dez replacement.

The draft may not fall that way for us to fill those needs. Additionally, if a guy like Baker Mayfield is there when we pick in the first would you pull the trigger on him given Dak's struggles? I would.

We have several comp picks. Obviously more players is better than less, but how keen are you guys on moving up and targeting specific players. This may be the year to move around a bit more.

Numbers 3 7 and 1 are my absolute must haves high quality players.

But then I got to ask myself how many good players do we have sitting on the bench that are just undeveloped. it really bugs me.

I'm tired of coordinators trying to peg people into their system rather than adapting to their strengths

Not sure we need a stub behind Zeke.

Change of pace receiving back with speed would be better.

Yeah I don't get that either. I mean if you can steal a stud late in the draft great but if you're talking about using a higher pick on a guy who should remain seated on the bench unless there's an injury I don't see the value in it.

This season hasn't fallen apart because of Zeke Elliott.

I definitely wouldn't overcompensate for Dak's recent struggles by wasting a #1 pick on a QB who would only warm the bench. We need to fill other positions that are far more important than that. A linebacker to serve as a back up to Lee in the event of injury would be one. A speedy and talented WR to eventually replace Dez would be another. Other spots like backup OT, OG and a CB to replace Scandrick come to mind as well. A 1-tech DT could also be a welcomed addition to the defense. Alfred Morris is likely nearing the end of his career, so another RB as depth seems potentially useful. That makes a grand total of seven. (Remember, we'll be due to get several extra picks in the 2018 draft.)

Mayfield is like 5"11 and a punk. Why not just bring in Johnny Manziel for a tryout. Same player and we will not waste a draft choice.

Everything but a RB.

The enforcer type LB is a priority.

A 1 tech fat guy is a need to get Collins back to his natural spot.

Depth at OT is needed-maybe a guy who can play both OT and OG.

A WR or SOMEONE on offense with blazing speed. We need to stretch the field some and get better on YAC.

All this assumes that Jaylon pans out and our young guys in the secondary pan out.

Dak is the man that hasn't changed
the TE thing is puzzling [Rico]
agree with your positions

the DT3 position has become a little complicated as Irving appears to have good success there but thats Collins strength?

Do you know the rules of acquisition? You must first understand the rules of acquisition before you can discuss acquiring anything!

Back at draft time, when DLaw was still a question mark, I read reports that projected Irving as a LDE and/or RDE, the later as a replacement for Crawford. But he has had his moments as a DT. This is s good problem to have.

I still think we need a fat man to command double teams and therefore protect the LBs.

Middle rounds only. 4th or 5th round.

I prefer Irving on the edge. The Eagles exposed him as a tackle against the run.

Leave Collins at 3 tech and find a space eating 1 tech via FA or draft.

Completely agree. Irving at RDE is exactly how the Jags are using Calais Campbell.....seems to be working for them. Irving to me is a younger clone of Campbell.
