Talib or Jenkins

And if he actually shoots someone as a member of the Cowboys? Enough of the thugs. I'd rather have Alan Ball (at CB) than someone who could tarnish the star like that. :starspin

Tarnish the star? How could anyone tarnish the star after what this team went through in the 90's off the field? Nevermind the ON THE FIELD problems this team had when going 5-11.

Future I'm with you 100% on this. If Talib comes in and gets into more off the field trouble he's done just what everyone has expected him to do, and thats fine just as long as the cowboys don't over pay him and get stuck with a huge contract. Then if he does work out we have a pro bowl caliber cb at a discount for at least a year or two

Thanks for playing, I'll still take Mike Jenkins.

As bad as he played last year I have not lost my faith in him. He showed me what he can do in 09 and I expect him to get back to that level. I make no excuses for last season and feel he deserves the heat he is taking. Maybe that is what will wake him up.

Jerry took him off the draft board so why would he change his mind now that he's in more trouble? No thanks

This is not fair. No one knows what he had to go through in his personal life. He should not be judged until given a fair trial.

What? The man and his mother open fire at someone while he was in retreat.

The guy is a POS. He had character issues before the draft and now look at him. HELL NO to Pacman 2.0

This story has an impact on Jimmy Smith. I doubt he's going to be taken in the first round and maybe not even in the second round. May not be worth the trouble.

/end thread

This is more of a 'What if I were the GM' question than what the actual front office would consider doing in reality.

Easy, that was then, this is now. Ancient history, in other words. However they have done on the field, it's been 10 years since a Cowboy was on the hook for a major crime *said while furiously knocking on wood*.

The Cowboys don't keep thugs and try not to draft them.

Should have asked this question at the end of the season...you'd get an overwhelmingly different answer.

Obviously Jenkins since Talib probably won't be playing football for anyone this season; however, on talent and productions on the field, Jenkins is a distant second.

The Cowboys need help on the OL and DL and depth in several other places; however, most people are pretending that we don't have very serious issues at CB. Jenkins was absolutely awful last season and has proven so far that he is not going to tackle anyone; Scandrick is a battler, but not an A player; Newman is getting older, less productive, and will soon be facing free agency. We are really hurting at CB.

I don't disagree with that I just think its silly to think ONE MAN can hurt a franchises image.

Michael Irvin....fur coat....court room

That's what fans of other teams remember about the Cowboys of the 90's
