The Buccaneers are currently ranked 3rd in the NFL against the run, giving up a microscopic 78.5 rushing yards per game. They have also only allowed one single rushing touchdown all season long. Losing Winfield Jr. completely alters how the Cowboys can attack this game. Even though the Bucs have a brick wall front seven against the run, missing their elite, hard-hitting safety means they lose a massive layer of run support in the secondary. If the Cowboys can just wear down the line of scrimmage, they won't have to worry about Winfield flying down into the box to blow up playsBoth cornerback Benjamin Morrison (quad) and linebacker SirVocea Dennis (ankle/foot) missed practice for the second consecutive day. Given the incredibly short turnaround for Thursday Night Football, back-to-back missed practices mean both are highly unlikely to play against the Cowboys.
So basically, they should lose. If they stop the run and stats miss some plays, the defense gets the blame again.
