I'm playing 5/6 DBs most of the game.......force Brady to hold the ball a little longer than he'd like. We know he's not running....
I agree. Our front can get there. If we use Parsons as LB. He can come up the middle almost untouched. But if brady can just drop it over his head for a short pass it’s gonna be a long night. We need to have very few penalties or turn overs and score on most drives. Play some really sound Defense.

I am hoping that since we got the playoff spot we have geared down to see what our best formations are with the best players available.

I rewatched the week 1 match against TB....we were moving the ball OK in the first half, the thing that killed us were the penalties on every drive that kept putting us in long yardage situations.

And Micah parsons looked a lot faster than he does now!

'Course every given sunday, but Bucs are at 18.4 PPG, if this defense can even be half of what it was earlier this year we should come out ok.

Just thought I would share these

#2 passing team at 269.2 yards per game
#32 rushing team at 76.9 yards per game

In our first meeting Brady threw for 212 and we allowed 152 yards rushing.

Tampa’s Defensive ranks
#9 total yards- 324.4 per game
#9 passing yards- 203.6 per game
#15 rushing yards- 120.7 per game
#14 in points allowed at 21.1 per game

In our first meeting Dak threw for 134 yards and we rushed for 71.

The secondary is going to have to step up!
They gashed us on the ground, they can't do that again for our defense to have a chance.

We are about to be introduced to " Playoff Lenny".
Regular season stats are not going to help us.
If we lose, it will be because of Leonard Fournette... and Brady, of course.

Quinn plays bump and run with Diggs but at the 2nd corner he plays at minimum 10 yards off the ball. Godwin will destroy our middle IMO.
Brady has been throwing a lot of short stuff so getting in the faces of their receivers is imperative. I would let him try to throw a lot of deep stuff. I just do not think he can do it consistently anymore. But give the pass rush time to get to him.

I think this is going to be a game the offense has to win though. They cannot play like they did last week and expect to win.

Our OL run blocking success is going to be the key and they have struggled with that as of late. Hope they can find a way to get it together starting against Tampa. And the defense stepping up to stop the run is going to be the key as well. If the Cowboys get beaten in the trenches on both sides of the ball, it's going to be hard to win against Tampa.

In the first game, A. Brown got abused by Brady. Good news is, he won't be playing and getting abused again. The bad news is his replacement most likely will get abused as bad if not worse.

Did you miss the 3 bombs to Evans the previous week?

Fact, Fournette ran for 120 on the Cowboys Defense. Fact Brady can throw the football extremely well with no inside pressure in his face. He gets the ball out quick so edge rushers are not the key to bash Brady.

Fact the Cowboys are going up against a Top 10 defense and the Cowboys QB has been turnover prone.

Simple football, Run the ball, run the ball and when in doubt run the ball. What is Tampa going to do...make you throw. You cannot let them do this. Throw quick passes to the RB and run the ball putting pressure on the Tampa LBs. This is what Tampa will do to the Cowboys so you better do it to them first. If it becomes a throwing contest Tampa has too many passing weapons and better passing QB to try to win that way.

Yeah, I saw it but it's one game. If you watched Dallas against Washington you would think they were the worst offense in the league with 10 3 and outs. But it is one game and does not tell the story.

Plus, Carolina is not a team that sacks the QB. They don't intercept a lot of passes. My point was I would rather let Brady try to throw deep and let the pass rush get to him than to let him pick me apart with a bunch of 6 and 8 yard passes.

The key though is the pass rush. I think if Parsons get get some early pressure on Brady it may change the whole complexion of the game. Early in the season teams were throwing a lot of quick passes anticipating Parsons would come busting through the line and get a sack. We need Brady worrying about the pressure.

We really need to mix it up on defense Monday night. 3, 4 and even 5 man fronts to keep TB uncomfortable. Go from max pressure to max coverage. Move him off his spot with safety blitzes. Above all, we can't give up freebies by playing 10 yds off the WRs. Brady will dink and dunk all night. He's incredibly patient but at the same time, hates to hold the ball. Employ almost a bump and run coverage and make Brady hold that ball the extra second. Sacks and Ints will come.
Rush all 11 defenders...
TB might hit a TD or two but then somebody crushes him and time for the backup QB...

Man, those deep balls in week 17 were some of the best I've seen in the league all year.
I hope he got a sore arm from it...lol

I checked out both the super bowl games Giants won against the Pats and Brady’s play . Giants kept pressure on Brady - in his face all day , even when they were dead tired in the 4th qtr , that was the only reason they could beat him ( of course another reason Eli playing out of his mind with some luck factor - sticky helmet catch and mannigham Miracle)

This is much older Brady , if we start the game and keep continued pressure until end Brady will fold , otherwise it will be a long day, he has better receivers now than his pats days with the exception of Moss. But he always prefer a Wes Welker type to dump off , who is that guy in Tampa , find him and shut him down , that will reduce his efficiency to extend drives , he would be forced to hold the ball longer and take chances which will allow our pass rush to get home.

Guarantee they still focus on running the rock down our throats. I believe they damn near doubled their average run totals against us the first go around.

Brady is going to light our secondary up. Prepare yourselves mentally for it.
