WR or Safety.

It should be BPA.

I don't buy into the BPA argument. I don't think you can strictly draft for need, but most times you have players available at multiple positions who are on a similar level.

Elliott vs. Ramsey wasn't a BPA debate IMO. It was simply a matter of preference. Floyd was considered far and away BPA the year we drafted Frederick. Last year, if we went BPA, we would have drafted a running back in the first round when we obviously did not need to spend another first-rounder on that position.

By stating that we should select a WR or Safety, though, it appears that you do not mean BPA in the strictest sense either. I certainly agree that the first-round pick could come down to those positions, although I could see us looking at tight end if Witten chooses to retire (unless we get a regular-season look at Gathers and he appears to be the real deal).

I know you've mentioned in the past that linebacker also is a need, but I really think Dallas will explore developing Smith before it goes down that road. Of course, Lee isn't getting any younger, so we could end up getting his eventual replacement.

After that humbling playoff loss last season, we were empty handed lamenting the lack of a war daddy on the roster.

Now we've got not ONE, but TWO, war daddies?! And they were with us all along?!:omg:

I get the BPA argument.

But look at the draft and the relative strength. This was a "rusher" year.

We should have taken Watt, but that is besides the point.

Even if Dallas had a crystal ball, I guess you could have made a case for Foster there. But this was not a good DT year.

We "forced" the Taco pick and reached based on perception of need. Taco may turn out to be the next Lawrence in a few years but he is showing no signs of being ANYTHING at all so far.

There were many DEs selected before him. We could have had a lot better value by selecting the best player available, regardless of position or trading back.

If that player was a LB we would probably have two more wins and a developmental DE later in the draft, which is what Taco appears to be so far.

If that guy was a WR then you groom him to take over for an ineffective Dez, save Dez cap hit and spend it on. DE in free agency if you need one. Just don't reach based on need.

I would trade Taco for a first round running back right now if we could do a redraft. If you don't want to take the best player available then trade back. We could have traded back a little and picked up a pick or two and stuck with BPA. It would have better better results

Better to have a guy who can really play but don't need rather than a guy you really need but can't play for ****.

He's been great this year. Didn't expect it at all.

Crawford has actually been good also.

Both a good suprise

Yeah, any other issues this team is having, getting sacks isn't one of them. All three of these guys have been unbelievable. And we'll need all of that against the Chiefs on Sunday. And then some!

I need to see highlight plays of him, narrated by Sir David Attenborough like he's a lion, or something.

Just last year, many on here wanted to get rid of him. For that matter, there were some saying he was a bust during the offseason. I try to keep that in mind when I read fan reactions to other players who haven't really been given a chance to prove themselves yet.

To bring this back around to Tank, though, he's been more than I could have expected him to be this year, and I had high expectations for him based on what he showed the second half of 2015.
Everytime I see Tank make a play I think of a @Verdict Taco thread and laugh.

Love that show. I own every episode and still watch it, from time to time. James Burke is a genius.

LoL, for real? That's awesome, and I couldn't have thought of that guy's name for anything,,, I've always thought that was a fairly time consuming program to produce and while it tried to pull it off with as limited a cast as possible,it still probably was kinda expensive in terms of a cash budget also.
Like of instance: silk and it's impact( or whatever),,, it would go to the silk worms,to the weavers,to samurai warriors, to camel caravans, to bustling market bazaars, to cargo sailing ships,to packing a frickin' parachuteo_O

It was really in a class by itself:)
