I am not for kicking the can down the road on Tank. Poor move unless they have something specific they need the cap space for.
We don't learn from our mistakes. I imagine a big cap hit now if cut after 23 season

It certainly appears that cap space is being cleared for a signing of some kind. I mean, the money is there but remember, we're talking about Jerry and mini-me. I hope whoever made these recent moves continues to run the table.

My feeling is that money will be used to sign our draft picks.
They already have enough cap space/money allocated to sign their draft picks plus UDFA. They have the money to sign 1 or 2 top FA's.

Nice to see DeMarcus is willing to adjust from what has been an extremely generous contract, thus far. Kudos for that. Warner, anyone?
Not surprising really, he's not losing money and it makes it more expensive to cut him after 23 season

H-m-m, I've wondered how that might work out for him. Not surprising, knowing how he operates. More power to him, if he can get it, I guess.

One thing to consider is that Dak's contract currently is set to expire after the 2024 season, so unless he signs a new extension there is going to be a huge chunk of money available in 2025 if we have a new QB on a rookie deal.
Yes, but they pushed over $36 million into 2025 and 2026. If they do not extend him they have to eat that as dead CAP in 2025.
