Tanner was one of the many people that I couldn't understand their roster spot initially. He's hyped up as this important bruising type/ST RB that provides insurance in case of injury. I stated before the season, the only way he would see the field is if we had 2-3 injuries at RB. Now that that has happened, he still can't see the field over a guy thats only been active 2 weeks. The staff completely leapfrogged him for our 4th string RB. Again I ask, why is he even on the team if his ST play is average and can't even play over a 4th string RB?
We were and are better off going with 3 RBs and heavy at another position, than going with 4 RB! EVen with the injuries to Murray and Dunbar, a vet RB is a better option than TAnner. Randle can't learn anything from him and Randle needs a vet presence like Waters in the backfield that he can lean on. Jerry need to go ahead and trim the fat with Tanner.
