Tanner made the team

Radway isn't getting picked up by anybody, the guy has very limited football experience, no team is carrying him on their 53 man roster

I hope he does clear waivers, but you don't know what another team needs or wants on their football team. They could see him as a potential deep threat and want to hold him as their 6th receiver on a roster to develop him. As long as he clears the waivers it's all good, but IF he doesn't then it would be a mistake to cut him.

Radway just hurt his knee/leg, probably broken, so you dont have to worry about him being picked up

Yeah, what terrible luck for the guy. I just hope he can recover and become a really good football player for somebody down the road.

yeah with three seconds left in preseason to have something serious occur really sucks for him

Honestly I think Red is making the calls right now. He might just know he's on the team and let it slip. But yeah, Jerry the GM has been a problem.

I wish the owner would fire the GM.

Amen, shut up and let Red decide.

Hopefully the Cowboys

Jerry might have a few Whisky Sours in him.

Anyone who listens to his pregame shows on the radio with Kristi Scales knows that "a few" is the norm for him.:

Red may be making the real call but Jerry is going to be the one doing the talking. He wants to be perceived as the top of the food chain at all times and that is just how he rolls.

Radway was a PS guy anyway. Holley has earned the 5th WR spot with his special teams play (he also was critical on the only notable play of the night on offense, making the key block that sprung Murray on his screen pass). It never ceases to amaze me how fans think special teams don't matter in deciding end of roster players.

So did Barry Church with his play tonight

He was going to make the team anyway. Been saying it since before the draft that he's got the "it" factor.

I think Holley probably gets the 4th spot with Harris inactive.

I wonder how Garrett feels about him spilling the beans?

Jerry's the GM, so in the end, that sort of decision is his but boy am I tired of hearing him announce roster moves to the media like he's on Ricky Lake.

Glad we're keeping Tanner, hope it's not at the expense of cutting Choice. Hopefully we can get a draft pick for him, even if it's a 6th or 5th.

I'm sorry, I don't agree that the final 53 is the GM's decision. It is the head coach's decision. Jerry needs to shut up and get out of the way.

He honestly reminds me of a little kid running a car into the ditch on a video game, and as soon as the adult takes the wheel and gets the car back on the road, the little kid begins to say, "give it to me again, give it to me".

I swear I wish he would stop with the delusion that he is a good football man. Great business man. Great visionary as a business man. Great salesman.

But just a football fan.

The coaches and GM have meetings all the time about who is making the club. Tonight they already knew who most of the guys who had made the team. So Jerry didn't say anything that Jason didn't already know. And yes Gms around the league have final say over the HC. But I would say that the Cowboys HC has more say than most in the league.

Regardless of who has final say, on which teams, this owner said (when he introduced his head coach), that no one would be on the roster that the head coach didn't approve. Why can't we just stay on that message? I totally agree with you that they are making ORGANIZATIONAL decisions. I agree they all talk together. I agree that Jerry already knows what Garrett is thinking about these things. I just think that a lot of us get sick and tired of Jerry having his mouth running out ahead of his head coaches. Why can't he just stay on message? He says the right things in the beginning. Just keep reaffirming it Jerry. In the end it will actually make you look BETTER to the fan base. Any man stands tallest when he stoops lowest.

Where's the conflict? Jason wants Tanner on the team. That's pretty obvious.

Exactly, Jerry is getting all his info from the coaches anyway. So I'm not sure what the big deal is.

Jerry loves being Jerry. He isn't going to turn down the camera or microphone regardless of who the head coach is.

There is no conflict. Again, what aggravates some of us is that Jerry has to ALWAYS be talking. Always. I would love to hear him say... we will see what coach Garrett thinks about that. Jerry just can't do that. At least not for very long. He has to always remind us of what he is. WE KNOW WHAT HE IS. Any way, its obvious it doesn't bother you (fair enough)... nothing is going to change because it does bother me (fair enough)... so we move on.

People hate Jerry. Just sit back and enjoy.
