Tapper has pars defect

This is so disappointing as I really thought he was a player who could even help this year.

I'll be hesitant to commit to any draft prospect from here on until we see how their pars looks.

Tapper said he's had it since childhood but it was never diagnosed. Well how did they know he had since childhood if they didn't diagnose it in childhood. Does it hurt him? Was the paralysis he felt at camp from this injury or something different? Can he play? Is there any long term risk if he plays? Twitter is great and all but they don't give any information.

@Risen Star, dude just flaunt to the ladies how many likes you have. Like walk up to a lady and be like, "hey baby I got 3400 likes, what are we going to do about it".

The recommended treatment program for active spondylolysis is usually a combination of the following:

  • Bracing to immobilize the spine for a short period (e.g. four months) to allow the pars defect to heal
  • Pain medications and/or anti-inflammatory medication, as needed
  • Stretching, beginning with gentle hamstring stretching and progressing with additional stretches over time
  • Exercise that is controlled and builds gradually over time.
I didn't realize he has spondylolisthesis. I broke my back 30 years ago, it has never healed. Over the years it has fractured time and again. I actually broke mine playing football. Still gives me a lot of trouble. This ain't good.

I have no idea if it has progressed to spondylolisthesis, I think that is a more serious concern if so.

So Jason Garrett at practice said he was close to returning..?? And now those comes out

He gets more and more clueless by the day.

At this point he probably doesn't even get to see the injury report..

wow this team sure has lots of bad luck

Bad luck?

Drafting injured and drug addicted players is not bad luck ........

Relying on a 36 year old QB with a twice broke back and a thrice broke collarbone is not bad luck ......

This is bad team management ........ luck has nothing do do with it.

Jerry Jones loves to spit into the wind and then acts surprised when his plastic face gets wet.

I actually only found out I had it last year and like I said I originally broke my back 30 years ago. It wasn't diagnosed back then and I always just chalked it up to "lower back pain..bad back". My dad told me if I was gonna be stupid I better be tough. Anyhow... The spine doc I went to last year said he could tell I broke my back some 30 years ago by the length of the bone spurs growing off my spine. Said it would take 3 decades for them to get that big. And they press into nerves and walla. Maybe that's how they figured he'd had it since childhood?
