Tar Heel Thread

Wasn't the best performance today by the Heels, for sure. Once we got behind big early again, I didn't feel too good about our chances. We had expended too much energy overcoming deficits the last two days and dook is too good a team to spot 14 points.

I do think that both UNC and dook were stuck in the two toughest brackets, for sure. I hate the potential matchup with 'Cuse considering how the zone has killed us recently. And Texas as a 4? Yikes. I thought they had a legit claim as a 2.

The Southeast looks like a joke of a region.

Duke got no more favorable calls today than the Tar Holes did. Zeller had two offensive basket interference calls that were no calls. One of them went for a three point play.

The difference in the game was defense. Duke played it. Singler shut Barnes down.

Relax Pep.

Congratulations on the Duke win.

It's always fun to watch some of the NBA players that had good Final Four runs play in the games in and around both Selection Sunday and the actual Final Four.

Today, Tyler Hansborough outdueled a player much better than him in Pacer victory over the Knicks.

Hansborough: 29 points, 9 rebounds, team won
Stoudemire: 28 points, 6 rebounds, team lost

It happens every year.

What do you mean by wild card?

You sound really defensive for no legit reason.
What the heck do you think I meant? Think....think again....I know you will figure it out.

If a player is out a long time he may not be on top of his game. It was a complement. If Kyrie is back to being Kyrie, Duke could be real trouble for the field. Calm down dude.

Just curious. You take this stuff pretty seriously.
Please tell me you did actually graduate from Duke. You did, right?

Nothing defensive about it. It was just a question.

Didn't know whether you meant it as a positive or negative. I honestly don't see how anyone could think it would be a negative. If he's not on top of his game, K's not going to force it. And it sure would be a boost to the team's morale.

Didn't Zeller's basket interference occur when the game was pretty much over at least in terms of score. It certainly was not the same as the Strickland charge. The Heels started off 0-8 but would have cut it to 13-9. The charge left it at 13-7 and then Dook scored a few at the other end to blow it open.

Dook was the better team today, just like the Heels were a week ago Saturday. The first game was even for the most part.

The Dumlees and Kelly were the difference in that they basically could not miss a shot.

You expect Smith and hot Sonya's son to hit shots at a high percentage but not so much the others (yes I know Kelly had a high percentage at times).

Heels are down to 8 scholarship players after Drew II quit, Graves dismissed, Wears transferred and Bullock hurt. Did pretty well in my view.

I actually wanted Ohio State in this game. Doesn't matter thou. Carolina and Kentucky played in early December last year. Heels won 75-73 in the Dean Center. See what happens.

the charge call in the ncaa is so horrible. guys just sit under the basket looking to take a charge. ncaa needs that circle space nba has

was not a foul

I do agree that they need to have a circle under the basket but the way the rule is now, that last was a charge according to the rule.
