I think I'm in the same with a large part of Cowboys fans.
I'm afraid that with the Livings and Benardeau signings, we will once again go on the cheap with the O-Line. And once again at about midway thru the season, particularly on the road, we'll struggle when teams blitz and stunt to the inside and the running game will slowly erode.
I think Nicks was a bit out of our price range. I think Grubbs was affordable and we decided to look for Livings. I'm greatly disappointed that we haven't looked to pick up an established, quality center. And I can't help but get the feeling that come draft day we'll be scratching our heads once again as to why we didn't take somebody like DeCastro.
As I like to say 'your best thinking got you here.' The organizations dogmatic philosophies of doing just enough to get bye on the O-Line and at safety has resulted in 1 playoff victory in what? 15 years? And we missed the playoffs the last 2 years.
Perhaps it's time for a change in philosophies like this.
