i heard he was pissed at the outcome of the game.
woke up still pissed.
and yes he said it was a business and he can't tell you what will happen.

i wish "fans" were that smart a lot of the time. : )

but i never heard "i am pissed off with my role on the cowboys" but then again, i couldn't hear too many of the questions.

Even if he didn't say, would you doubt that it's true?

Keep all three backs, but let Felix/Choice handle the early carries. Let Barber go back to being the closer.

Choice can and would be a quality starter in this league.

Barber was real good a few years ago, but I haven't been impressed with him since he closed out the Commanders game at Fedex last year.

I'd like to get another look at that guy we signed from USC. I can't remember his name, but he seems like a pretty good NFL guy and one that you could use in a rotation.

Garrett's a moron. Barber is terrible. I don't care how much he flops around. He sucks. We have two good running backs and one bad one. Hell, why doesn't Garrett replace Romo with Kitna when he's doing well. That's what he did with Jones. Let's just remove this option so Garrett won't put him in anymore. He clearly doesn't have the sense to play the better running backs who run over a 5.0.

I would be interested to see what Hostile has to say about the running back situation, given his football knowledge.

I was a huge Barber fan with the punishing runs, stiff arms, etc...now he's just like Eddie George.

Next Year
Jones 15+ touches per game
Choice 10+
Barber 10+

35 touches per game, including receptions on a team that has Austin and Witten getting a ton of receptions.

The "#2" receiver had what? Less than 40 receptions.

Those numbers you put up there aren't realistic.

we have a QB who can throw the ball and so many want to put that away and follow some dusty guide in how to play in the NFL.

if we tried to run that many times, the same people mad would just be mad cause we're not using romo to his full potential.

mad people are just mad. why is never really much of a consideration as to why.

I didn't listen yet, but let's say that he did NOT say that...he sure as heck would be correct in feeling that way. Most fans are disappointed with the role that he's been given...ESPECIALLY since he proved he can carry the load. He proved it against a couple of VERY tough defenses last year in the games against the Steelers and the Ravens.

The problem is that the OC may not be able to see what everybody else can....remember Austin was sitting until week 5 for the most part when alot of fans here even were saying the guy HAS it. Not to mention that BEFORE the game a former WR was saying that Austin is the real deal and that he would have a serious breakout day. He did and has been an integral part of the offense since then.

TC proved in those games he's not just some Razorback RB....he's better than that.....plus, we shouldn't even be running that anyways.

Give the bulk of the carries to FJ and he gets over 1000 easily.
Give the ball to TC to get FJ his breather.

Trade MBIII, but I don't know who is going to take his contract....

I agree on the speculation thing.

I didn't watch/listen to the post.

I'm just saying that if it would not be a surprise if Choice was yanked about how he was used this year.

There were too many carries thrust upon a guy who hasn't performed at a high level in a long time– Just because he has a big salary.

sorry - in my mind there are far too many people putting their own emotions into the players and pretending they feel the same way.

maybe he is. but he didn't come out and say it but the subject line....

sorry - it just bothers me when people make up the drama and then wonder where it comes from later on.

i also heard him say it's fine, it's a business, he'll be ok. he knows he has to play a role and he'll do whatever he's asked.

those do not just make inflamitory headlines.

Of course he's pissed.

Why wouldn't he be?

All that rah-rah team-mate stuff is OK to a point.

And that point disappears when you see Marion "Eddie George" Barber ahead of you producing diddly pooh.

Barber getting a single carry should be considered grand theft to the other backs.

Let's watch the language Mr.Mora.

Ask yourself this; Which players do you think make opposing DC or defenses concerned?

well i'm not sure if barber is hurt, or just coming to the end. i do know he did better in a closing role and would agree with people he needs to go back to where he did his best work.

i love choice and want to him stay and grow with the cowboys. i think he will. i just think many fans are in overanalysis mode right now and i know the players are still heated and upset.

so while i don't disagree with the points being made, i disagree with blowing it out of porportion based on speculation and ignoring all else said so the focus is on assumptions.

I think someone posted his salary over the next couple of years at about $4 mil per year, which isn't a ridiculous amount and some other team could just cut him before he's due another large bonus as part of that contract.

I just don't think he can perform at the same level as Felix Jones or Choice.

I'd trade him just to get our 5th round pick back.
