I'm all for Barber eating his pasta and coming in next year as the FB. He is a good blitz pickup blocker but I haven't seen him as much in a lead back blocker. If he could pick that up then I'm all for it.

He could still get an occasional flat pass or FB dive (ala Moose). He would be an improvement as an offensive weapon over Cricket, if he could lead block.

Choice/Jones and a FA or low round draft pick could replace him as the 3rd string back.

I thought I was done adding anything to this thread but I guess I second guessed myself...

I do not want to end up with a declined bruiser that we cannot offload to another team because his value has gone into the pisser. History has shown that Barber's style of running doesn't last long and dies a very quick death. Trade this guy now while his trade value is still relatively high! Start Felix and mix in Choice for a change of pace. These two young and talented RBs are our future. Don't waffle on Barber and miss a golden opportunity to take care of a need elsewhere on the team. Choice has proven that he can play Barber's role with more burst, quickness, and vision than Barber. I love me some Choice. That's no secret here. This guy is deserving of a larger role on this team. I don't want to see Choice "arrive" wearing another team's jersey...

If they can hold on to the three players then why not? Increase Choice role, reduce Barbers and find out if Felix can amke it through a full season. If Choice doesn't produce next year fans will be turning on him then, they way they are Barber now. Worse problems to have.

I have a better idea. let Jones and Choice get all the carries and if one of them get hurt then let Barber Play.

Sounds good to me.

The thing is that unless they move Choice, which I'd be pissed about, they're not going to move any of them.

Barber is too highly paid to simply cut and no one is going to trade for him with his contract.

This team is going to have to find ways to use all 3 effectively each week and that's just whats going to have to happen.

Choice needs to shut up ! In Jerry world a player is not judged by the quality of their performance but 1st, how much they are paid and 2nd, where they were drafted. As neither a high paid poor performer, like RW11 or barber, or a high draft pick like RW11 was, Choice needs to suck it up and take his roll on the bench regardless of whether he would contribute to the team or not.

Jerry will show us he was right to pay Barber all the money even if it means throwing away better players like Choice. You people need to get learned !!!

You realize that by your theory then Romo would have never stepped on the field?

As much as I like Barber's demeanor and attitude, we may be better off trading him now while he has value.

He's still a capable back, but Choice and Felix have great upside and would complement each other well while keeping speed on the field.

Then turn the pick or picks into OL.

There's nothing Choice can do about it.

IMO, what he's doing is getting his displeasure out there - he'd like an opportunity to show his skills before he hits free agency, he'll probably have just one shot to get a big deal. He wants some of that Derrick Ward money.

did i miss where he said he was pissed off with his role?

i heard he was pissed at the outcome of the game.
woke up still pissed.
and yes he said it was a business and he can't tell you what will happen.

i wish "fans" were that smart a lot of the time. : )

but i never heard "i am pissed off with my role on the cowboys" but then again, i couldn't hear too many of the questions.

Welcome to the Cowboyzone were completely made up crap passes as fact. The OP owes the board an apology for posting this garbage. Especially the title of the thread.

Same for Austin and Rat. The ratio of ridiculous posts is always high at the end of a season or after a loss.

He didn't. That's my point. Unfortunately the OP will never admit to lying and twisting things to fit his agenda. Maybe he will man up. Lets wait and see.

You are correct on both accounts. I see he hasn't had the guts to answer back. I am really about to stop coming here because these threads an posts are ridicilous.

Yeah, I didn't hear him clearly say that he was pissed about his role on the team either. He was pissed about losing, no doubt.

I suppose one could infer that he's not happy about his role, but you'd be doing quite a bit of assuming to do so.

thank you all. but look back at almost 8 pages of people agreeing with the subject line who never listened to the audio to see if it was true.

99% of the people react, not think. it frustrates the hell out of the thinkers.

I said it last year...one of em has too go.

Age is a big factor so I say Barber doesn't return next year. We are wasting a talent like Choice and I know he's frustrated by just being on the sidelines game after game when he knows he could be making a difference... Bye bye Barber it's been real.

Of all people to get upset about his role, the RBs are the last people I would ever think would voice that opinion. I agree with everyone, I think this is all b/s b/c Choice knows he'll eventually get his chances. Those guys in the backfield seem very content with however the running load is spread.
