Taven Bryan is a man

So now college production is the only determining factor for how good youll be in the pros?

Cool. That David Irving and his 7.5 TFL in 3 years.

Oh yea and theres Kiper who has Bryan in the first. Heres what Mel had to say about Bryan:

Our history of taking “projections” on defense ain’t great.

I’d stay away from Bryan unless the draft board is decimated.

So you disagree, cool. Still doesnt excuse the nonsense you spewed over the production in college determining how good he’ll be as a pro. Utter Nonsense.

Kiper, Brugler, and Mcshay all have him in the first round.

LOL.

This just in. College production being at all indicative of success in the pros is nonsense.

What really matters is how they workout.

So now I know Willie's another one to ignore. Easily one of the dumbest statements I've ever read here.

ONLY. Read it slowly. ONLY. But lets ignore real draft guys like Kiper, Brugler, and McShay, because some nobody on a messageboard has a strong opinion.

Wrong and strong is the name of your game

Our history of projections isnt great. Some team is going to get a good player though, while we reach for a receiver

Don’t get me wrong, there’s a decent chance they screw up that pick. But IMO Bryan would fall in that category of a mistake.

It’s inexcusable to me that a guy with those freakish skills at DE/DT has zero production. Red flag to me. If he were a 1 Tech or NT, I could buy it.

When you're a fan boy and try to state the case for a guy like Bryan you pretty much have to dismiss actual on field production.

Or point to real draft guys that know and study these players. Guys to actually listen to about the draft as opposed to some pretend guy on the internet.

I understand you're scolded. I'm embarrassed for you. It has to be tough coveting a guy with no actual production on the field.

Im not scolded at all. I have no allegiance to any of these players. I stated my opinion on a player and you got all emotional. You quoted me first, my man.

LOL. All emotional.

If recognizing how completely idiotic your statement of college production was is being emotional then yes I was all The Notebook up in here.

Bryan's not in my top 50. Probably right on the outside of it as a gamble that an NFL coaching staff could develop him and he could for the first time in his life become an actual productive player.

But first round? Laughable. It'd be like coveting an edge rusher in the first round with a dozen career sacks in the college. Makes zero sense. The workouts are irrelevant if the film doesn't back up what you see.

Yes Emotional. Female-like. Up in arms because I said Bryan will be a better player than Maliek Collins. Ive seen u spew the same nonsense about production with Daron Payne, another 1st rounder.

All that time spent following the players, yet youre still deficient. Yikes.

LVE/Bryan/Hernandez are projects IMO...but been my Pet cats. None of these players outside the top 5 or 6 are going to be sure fire studs right away..so the word project is misleading because aren't a very high percentage of these guys "projects" in the purest form? Once you get outside the top tier..ie outside of pick 6...its going to be mayor projecting going on..thus, big gambles. The only way to minimize the risk is to pick a solid olineman because they almost always translate fast to the NFL.

What can I say? When I'm looking to acquire football players I care what they do, ya know, playing football.

It must sting knowing on a football field Tavon Bryan has never been as productive as Maliek Collins.

Yet he's guaranteed to be better and stuff.
