Tavon Austin

Dude is going to be a matchup nightmare for opposing defenders.

RIP to anyone that tries covering him one on one.
We have 5yrs of precedence to suggest he is going to be under 300yds receiving. Why in his 6th year at the age of 28yrs old, has it all of a sudden changed?

In fairness, Austin had garbage coaching and QB play the first 4 years of his career. The only year he had good coaching/QB was last season. And Austin was playing hurt all last season.

He also wasn’t under 300 yards receiving for 3 of those seasons.

So there may be hope for him. Not expecting All Pro. But do think he can be a dangerous weapon.

Because he can't throw the ball to himself? Even the SF broadcaster commented with the Rams he was used primarily on bubble screens and jet sweeps, as a player he is not calling the plays only executing what comes from the sidelines

Teams have never really had a problem stopping him in the past. If they want to stop him here they'll probably just do it.

I do not trust this player to be anything more then he has been in this league.

There is a reason, he is a garbage player.

Seems like every time Dallas signs or trades for a player, all of a sudden they are this great asset.

4 out of 5 years, he was under 300 yards. He is a bum. He is essentially a poor mans Desmond Howard in an NFL that doesn't allow special teams to be played properly for his skills to be utilized. He is a return man, and that is it.

I don't know how he will turn out in Dallas, I do know that Rams coaches were clueless in using him. Most of what he saw were bubble screens and jet sweeps even highlight films of him show that. Again I don't know how this will turn out but calming him as a garbage player is a bit much but then I learn not to expect much for many of our fans.

There is a chance he is that player from the Rams, there is a chance he breaks out for us. If nothing else, our willingness to actually use him on routes, the defense has to account for his speed. Might open other things up.

You are playing the, I haven't seen him play in Dallas game. We have film/stats which is precedence on his career. Be as optimistic as you want, but I try and stay realistic. Dallas does not have a #1 WR option, and we have no clue how Dak is going to do in year 3 with the struggles in year 2.

He was used poorly on a rams team that was not a very good team. I just said I don't know how he will do in Dallas but I do think Dallas will use him different than just running the same bubble screens and jet sweeps. You are right I am optimistic and realistic, I'm not putting him in the Pro Bowl just giving him a chance to show what he can do in a different system and being used in a different way
